I don't know if anyone else uses IRC (internet relay chat) but, I've started #kingranch on dalnet. If anyone's interested in swinging by and checking it out, let me know and I can get you set up with the freeware to get on. I just thought it might be a good place for us 'die-hards' to get together and chat live. Just a thought...

okay, the first thing to do is go to the following site and download the software....

Choose the best mirror download site and download it...
Next, install it...
Don't pay when they ask for $. It's freeware. That guy just wants to make a buck... it works without payment.
The little lightning bolt in the top left corner is how you connect but, before connecting, you want to make sure that you're connecting to DALNET (there are multiple IRC networks, #kingranch is on dalnet). Thus, go to the folder with the hammer on it. Choose connect, then, from the drop down menu, choose dalnet server. Below that, choose a nickname (this can be just about anything). Click connect to IRC.
Once the status window pops up, type /join #kingranch. Click enter. You should be there.... Look for a guy named _-^AC^-_ (yes Lent, this is for Alto-cummulus). I should be there if I'm online. (that's a no-brainer eh?)

Hey Rock, Good intentions but awfully complicated compared to the chat room on this site. Maybe if you all sign up for the chat on this sight, and we set a time, we could all get together then. Scott

Yeah, I was hoping more of us were familar with IRC from the start. I saw that you were on #kingranch... sorry, I was watching the tube and not paying attention to IRC...
