Motor Trend - KRF150 vs RAM vs Silverado vs Tundra
so are you saying you know and you are just taunting us...man that is just cruel and unusual punishment....ya know people have been shot for less don't ya.....usually by there pms'ing wifes/girlfriends.....hmmmmm...
Guys/Gals,
I hope that the Chestnut KR has taken that donkey they call a Ram out back and gave it a firm kick in the ****. As for the others, a pile of rocks and the other is a pile of good ole uncle bens rice. For those that vote for anything other than the KR wining, make some high carbohydrate rice-rock soup from the last two and crunch on that for awhile, that'll change your mind or eliminate any loose teeth, oh and don't swallow cause it could be hazardous to your health.
Go KR, in any color but congrats if it turns out to be the Chestnut KR over the other "Me Too POS" from "Bodge", "Chebie" or "Riceota".
On a more serious note, I hope the KR wins, and for the other's I'd say that Chevy would have to be my next choice, then Dodge and then Toyota. I'm partial to good ole American made as we've got to support our country first. As for Toyota, the Tundra is nice but for the money, the F-150 can't be beat, IMO.
I used to be a Mopar man all the way until I got burned one too many times, then I switched to Chevy trucks and I was die hard fan until I finially joined in the Ford gang in '99. Since moving over to Ford trucks, I've had no regrets.
Lastly, IMO the one obsticle Ford needs to jump is competing better against Chevy with more horsepower, accerlation and possibly squeeze out a bit more fuel economy at the same time. If Ford can pull off the better engines and keep the F-150 features ahead of Chevy, then look out Siverado, here comes the King of trucks. I think Chevy's engines are more peppy and efficient than Ford's V8s but that's my $0.02.
Hey Mike,
You make it sound like I'm "Chestnut Vader" from the KR Jedi acadamy.

Hey Mike,
I'm just bracing myself for the wrath of Daveman with the Chestnut brown comment!

As I recall, us Chestnuts are winning in the color thread... They all look good, but IMHO, the Chestnut is the most impressive.
Have any of you had a blue and chestnut KR next to each other? We were at the dealer the other day, and they had a blue one, so we pulled up next to it, but it looked smaller. So we got out and stood next to it and ours, and they were of coarse the same. For some reason, the blue color makes it look smaller and the chestnut looks bigger. Anyone else notice this and know anything about the psychology of color?

Time to change dealers...
acbell,
Sounds like your friendly neighborhood crack dealer isn't putting out a quality product anymore!
Find another dealer, pull up next to the blue one and re-evaluate it.
LMAO I'm just kidding...no honestly, I honestly thought the exact same thing when I was parked next to a Estate Green KR a few weeks ago at the mall... just doesn't compare to the Chestnut.

As I can't get a physical copy of Motor trend, I tried to look up this information on the MT website.
I can't find anything there so can someone give me a precise direction to this road test.

Of course size matters. That's why I bought a Supercrew in the first place. However, mine sits lower now than a stock one, so I don't care how high they sit. I installed the 2" drop shackles so the thing sits level now. It looks quite good.
