Question Why Chestnut...

Unfortunately for me, this will primarily be my wife's vehicle. I will only get it on the weekends or when we get snow so I can get to work.

We had a minivan, but she kept throwing all sorts of dirty junk in it and messing up the interior (i.e. old antiques and furniture, flowers & shrubs, rocks, bags of mulch, etc.). I kept telling her to put down plastic first, but she usually didn't and wasn't too careful if she did. She insisted she would continue doing so until I bought her a pickup. I found that the Supercrew met both our family hauling needs along with a bed for all her dirty finds.

She only wanted cloth as she didn't like the std leather, but I saw a KR with its supple leather interior and fell in love. I took her to the lot and she agreed it was a must have. The only requirment was a rear bench instead of the quad captains. So we had to order it and here we are 11 weeks later, I can pick it up Monday.

Now to the color. She liked the Chestnut because it matched her nail polish (really, she disliked what hues the other two changed to in different lighting, the nail polish match was a bonus) and I liked it because it had a unique air to it, more majestic. There are to many blue and green cars out there and if you are going to buy a KR, you want to feel unique and stand out, thus Chestnut.

But now that I said that, you know everyone will start getting Chestnut too... so don't listen to me and keep on buying your blues and greens so us Chestnuts remain distinct.
