After 20 years, the section shown in the picture flaked off the paint / I removed what was easily "flaked" off with a fingernail and ended up with this.
Want to re-paint it using the approved Medium Parchment color match paint - BUT wish to get any and all opinions / suggestions from the group before I do it.
Take a look at the damaged area and advise on the best way to fix it (plus one or more really small areas of chips around the steering wheel. THANKS.
Want to make this look like it did when she was younger !!!!!!
This is the 121 match that I believe is the right one for my 2001 King Ranch. Right?

Reason: duplicate
Researched but still afraid to try to re-paint at this stage. "They" said 121 / Medium Parchment but my factory sticker says interior color is KH (but I can't find anything related to KH).
I painted a sample piece using the Med. Parchment 121 so after it cured I could do a side-by-side comparison and that is why I am afraid to move forward. The medium parchment (code: 121) looks lighter than the area I want to paint.
I found it. First letter is type of interior, second letter is color. You have the correct paint. My code is MH, I have a XL with 60/40 cloth seats with fold down console/armrest, high back headrests, and it's medium parchment.
I suspect you will not find a color that is a "perfect match" but what you have is pretty close. You might try this source: https://www.automotivetouchup.com/to...paint/hyundai/ I've gotten exterior touch up paint from them for two differently colored vehicles (one was a King Ranch) and their color matching was excellent. The paint they mix is a good quality and was easy to apply. They sell spot repair paint and paint in rattle cans, and I've gotten both. I think they'd tell you if they could match your interior color.
Regardless, and you probably know this already, you need to take that panel out of the truck and remove all the old paint completely before you try to refinish it. Good luck!
