Wow Gang,

Is this thing really going to happen on the 18th of May? If so then I can't wait.

It's hard to belieive that folks that live in Texas are asking for driving directions when I've got to go clear across the country and drive for 22 hours just to get there, much less driving back.

Oh well, I got my driving directions from expedia.com and it's kind of tricky to get what you need but persistance pays off.

We'll probably make it half way or near Baton Rouge LA on the first day and make the second day trip from Baton Rouge onto Kingsville to arrive in the afternoon or evening of Friday the 17th. That means we'll have to leave early on the morning of Thursday the 16th. I guess we'll all meet in Kingsville at some common Hotel and we can have our greetings and introductions and then proceed onto the Ranch in the Morning of Saturday the 18th, is that right?

Maybe we can all have breakfast on Sunday morning and head um up and mooooovem out after that.

Would anyone like for me to bring anything from the Great City of Charleston, SC as a souvenir? Let me know and I'll bring whatever I can afford and you can pay me back at the Ranch.

ok well, this is my idea Daveman.....oh and by the way I have two...my son is deffinately coming......it'll give your son a playmate when he gets bored as you know kids always do.....well, since it seems more of us can make it on the 18th then we should make that the date, but I still want to meet lenny and his truck.......but I have to see txtxcowboy's truck becaus it is lifted and I really want to see how it looks because I am seriously considering doing the same to mine.....hmmm....crappola.....I forgot my idea...hmmm...need more coffee....I will edit this later...

 

Okay Guys,

Bad news, I told my wife about changing the schedule from the 11th to the 18th and she told me to forget it. She's already got plans for the 18th and she's had it with me setting dates for this trip and then they change. Last year, we set a date, we both set our vacations up for the trip and then it fell through, now she's not falling for it again. Looks like I'll have to meet on the 11th or come down on the 18th alone.

It looks like Lenticular won't be able to make the 18th either since he and his wife are headed back across the pond on the 15th so they won't be at the KR to meet with us anyway. Damn, what's a guy/gal to do?

well, Daveman I am sure I speek for everyone here we don't want to cause any problems with your happy marriage......and besides ya gotta bring your wife and kid.....Corrin needs a playmate, and no affense guys, but I can only take so much testosterone....so here is my idea.....we all meet at the ranch on the 11th......but dangit I am gonna stay till the 18th because I just have to see txtxcowboys truck.....I just gotta see up close what my Tomas could look and feel like with the 6" suspension lift.

 

Okay, the 11th it is, I'm going to be there on Friday the 10th so we can meet on Saturday and enjoy our time together then and maybe do something on the following morning and then depart.

Let me know if anything else changes but at this point I'll have to say that my plans can't change anymore and I will commit for meeting you guys the evening of the 10 and we can make tour plans then for Saturday. Is that okay?

ok guys we are gonna move back to the original date of meeting at the Ranch on the 11th......I am gonna stay through the week and leave on the 19th though......
txtxcowboy I hope ya still want to meet up because I am staying because I seriously want to check out your truck.......
and go see the house I used to live in 80 miles south of houston.....
and of course go shopping at the galleria.....

hey Daveman.....I am gonna bring a couple guns......wanna find a range to shoot at down there.....oh ya got that CCW yet? if not never mind ya probably won't be able to transport the gun without one.

 

Flying with guns? Geesh. My last trip out to Yakima, Washington, the guy checking in in front of me checked three guns. Talk about security flocking to a guy like a fly to a fresh pile. GEESH. Kinda spooky actually. To top it all off, he sat two rows behind me thus, I knew the guns were on-board.

I'm pro-guns. It was just weird seeing that after all the 9/11 stuff. *shrugs* I'm still alive.

Okay KR friends,

I'm going to meet Skagel and Lenticular down at the KR on Saturday, May the 11th for the day. If anyone else wants to meet us, then make your plans and lets go. I've decided to fly in vs. driving but I'll still have to drive for a couple of hours anyway I look at it.

Sorry we didn't get any pictures on the Ranch per se, we only had so many hours to visit and we spent too much time and money in the King Ranch Saddle shop.

The order of the pictures is cutting my **** right now and I've tried re-ordering them but it doesn't seem to work the way I'd expect. Anyone have any pointers on the gallery issue I mentioned?
