Scuff and cracks on Chaparral 2010 KR seat

Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix the below? I use the KR Ranch conditioner about every 3 to 6 months. Keep the truck in the garage. It does sit outside at work. Live in Texas so it does get a lot of sun.

Is there a kit or treatment to fix this? I have a feeling I may need to redye the first image.

looks like its time to redye. What part of texas are you in? Have you ever tried leather cpr on the seats? I think its a better product then the kr conditioner. Good Luck

I'm in the Dallas area. Can't believe only after a year and a half this would already be happening. I was afraid it was going to need a redye.

Have not tried the the leather CPR, but have read about it on here. It seemed to be about even between the two.

Do you slide across the seat to get in and out? It almost looks like it can be from that.

If it sits out in the sun while at work, get your windows tinted, that will help some. That sun through the glass just bakes whatever is in the truck. I agree that it looks like you slide in right where it's scuffed up.

Ours has the same markings on both seats.

Ive been wondering what to do about this. The KR conditioner makes it disappear for a while, but then it comes right back (i.e. as soon as the KR conditioner is dry).

Finally got around to doing a redye job on the seats. Figure I would share how it came out. Not to bad I think for doing it myself.

From here, premixed to the exact color. It was pretty easy other than getting past having to sandpaper your seats.

I used a very small foam application paint brush to apply. Very light applications. It took about 2 hours to apply 4 layers of about where I thought it should be.

As for the stitching its not perfect, but I had a microfiber towel to take care of any overage in application by blotting.

The first seat took quite a while I did the passenger seat the next weekend and it took about half the time since I knew what I was doing.

Also since the dye matches so well, you do not have to get really close to the stitching. The original matched up well. Just every once in a while I got a bit close and had to blot to not allow the stitching to soak it in.

LeatherRenew

I have a 2009 King Ranch and my front seats were doing the same thing. After reading this post i decided to try the re-dye approach! I used LeatherRenew! Very simple to use. Worst part was the never-racking sandpaper part!!! Thanks for the recommendation!
