I know I swore I wouldn't do it based on what they did to the seats.... but, I bit the bullet. It's really grown on me. I drove the truck for a short while and it just grew on me. After getting in a loaded up Lariat, I went back to the KR because of the individuality. I'm still disappointed in the seating surface having owned a 2001 and a 2005 but, the fact of the matter is that the truck is very nice and everything I wanted -- plus, very individualized (even if it's not the leather of yesteryear).

I have a 2011 KR, first Ford truck and that would make it my first KR. I thought the seats look nice. What did they do to the seats? Or is it something Ford did in the 2012 model?

 

The leather is a LOT different than when the KR first came out in '01. It was Castan'o Leather back then, now it's Chaparral. Not nearly as thick a leather now, and a totally different color. The new Chaparral is orange, while the Castan'o was brown/tan, just like a horse's saddle.

Looks good except for that blue......the maroon on the KR was better looking....imo
