This is my third KR.... I don't know if it'll be the last one or not. It will be for a bunch of years -- I can assure you of that.

Since I left the States and since I sold the Expy KR I haven't kept track of the specifications and colours of the KR range.
When I logged on and saw your latest KR my first thought was that it wasn't a KR.
When we all had our first KR's all those years ago the colours seemed rather muted.....in fact most of the discussions on the forum were about colour choice.
If you remember I think we even had a poll on the most popular !
(Didn't chestnut come out as favourite?)

I didn't say I didn't like the colour of your new truck. It just came as a bit of a change from the old range !

The color in the photo is a bit 'bright'. The sun is hitting it and making it pop a bit louder than it really is. While it's not Estate Green or Chestnut Brown, it does have a flake in it and really is a warm color when not directly sunlit.

MIKE! Totally missed your post... You're right, it's not Charcoal or Estate or Chestnut but, I do like it. I made a post a LONG time ago that I'd love to see a navy color - it's almost like they heard me.

I hope all is well with you and yours -- you're right, Andy and Sarah both are likely laughing. You keep up with any of that group any more? I followed Andy for a while but lost track of Sarah fairly quickly when she got the Elipse.

... how many miles does your truck have on it now? The leather in mine certainly isn't like the leather in my 01 (or my 05).

Sarah is in Houston with her Lotus Elise.
Haven't heard from Daveman in several years though.

They were the only ones who ever came down to Kingsville and then the long haul down to the Rio Grande Valley.

I love that color! It's the best imho, and an eccoboost! If they had one on the lot I would have gotten that over the 5.0. Congrats to you sir! KR club for life

Brad - I WISH I could ever justify a new truck.. I'm still at 73K miles after 10.5 years.... (working out of home and having company vehicles at my disposal for the past 7 years doesn't help...) Only times my truck gets used now seems to be to go camping once in a blue moon or haul my garden trailer when I need to get mulch.... I know, I know... it doesn't make any sense but I can't rid myself of it... although I do let the little nicks/scratches go nowadays by applying the 20 ft rule - it it looks good from 20 ft, that's it.. (hope you were sitting down when you read that! ha-ha)

Haven't really kept up with anyone except the occasional post with you or John... on top of the challenges of raising our 12 yr old son, we've also had a battle with cancer with my wife the past 2 years .. quite a handful but we stay positive and manage our lives through it... I'm sure you must know now the work that goes in with kids!!!

Hope all is well with you as well.... I was just giving you a friendly hard time about the blue color... especially in light of the color surveys/opinions from years ago... this new truck does look sharp! Congrats again!

Hi Mike,
Very good to hear from you.
Sorry about your worries....I know how you feel having been there with my wife.
Can't remember if you have kept track of my situtation, but I sold the house in Texas just before the property slump and just before 2 hurricanes !
Now permanently in Wales, but without a KR. The Expy really had to go as the price of fuel here and all the hills meant dreadful fuel consumption, so its now with a new owner living near London !!
Don't feel too sorry though as I bought another Bentley. Obviously the consumption is no better than the Expy but I only rarely use it for club events.
Other than that I'm reduced to a Ford Fiesta...which in fact is very good !!

All the best anyway and hope all continues to go well.
John.
