Fog lamps 2001 King Ranch

Hello!

I have a 2001 F-150 Supercrew King Ranch and since I have acquitted this truck, I have yet to find out how to turn on the fog lamps, I have looked in the manual, and searched the internet and found nothing of help. Could they be just for looks on my truck or the bulbs out or something else. I have also looked on the light switch on the left of the steering wheel, that has an auto position, off, turn signal, and lights on, but none seem to turn on the fog lamps. I did notice a very, very faded symbol at the bottom lookin like the fog lamp symbol, but the switch will not turn to that position.

If anybody has any information for me, I would love your advice!!

Thanks to all!!!

I believe the 2001 m/y is the same as my 2003. If so, you turn the **** all the way to the right and pull it out which should activate the fog light emblem next to the ****. Let us know if it works and don't feel bad, I was unsure how to activate them when I got my truck too.

The **** doesn't pull out. The **** on mine isn't the circle, it's more or a switch. But thanks for the idea anyway. I will let you know if I found out how to do it one day. Lol

You should post a picture of your headlight switch

That would help a lot, I'm a little unsure of how it looks.

I will post a pic later on today, i dropped it off to have the oil changed. But if you google images "2001 ford f150 headlight switch" that's what it looks like.

I was gonna upload the pic but it was very blurry.

Maybe I'm missing something but when I put that into Google search it comes up with the same switch I have in my truck.

This is the one i have. The "faded" image of the fog light symbol is on the right side. and i have tried to turn it to that position but it wont go past the on position, but your saying that this is the **** you have and that it pulls out when its turned all the way to the right???

That is the same one I have, which is what i thought you had. You turn the **** to the farthest right setting. Then you pull out on the **** and that little fog light emblem will light up. Remember the fog lights only work if you have the headlights set on low beams.

Regarding a sub in a 2001 KR Supercrew, i assume you have the buckets in the rear - about the only options back then were to get a Clarion sub that fits over the hump in front of the front center console or building your own sub in the rear console. Several of us with the Clarion sub painted it to match the tan interior trim - after all these years, mine still works fine....

Do a search on sub-woofers in this forum and look at the posts around 2002-2003 ... there's probably some pics in there as well.

Although a long shot, check the classifieds here as well....

i know there used to be a stealth box for the 02/03 harley trucks with a 10" sub in it, you could buy one of those and paint it to match the KR interior

Jl also makes a box that fits in the center console and comes with a sub installed. It's ridiculously price though. You could just as well do the fiberglass work yourself and build something similar.
