HID bulb replacement

I had silverstar bulbs on my last truck (chevy)and I see a huge difference in the stock bulbs in my '10 KR. Not nearly as bright and more yellow. Have any of you used other types of bulbs? If so, what kind and do you like them?

Personally HID kit is where its at. Kits range from $40-$200. Ive got a Retro Solutions kit that was about $115 with a lifetime warranty. Figure out what color temp you want and go from there. I would recommend 55w vs 35w and either 6000k (hint of blue) or 8000k which i have which has 30%-40% blue. Its perfect. Or you coul just do a bulb swap and get silverstar ultras or something like that.

I replaced my stock bulbs with silverstars. The ultras were not available for the
'10 models. Can't really tell any difference than the stock bulbs. Nothing like my chevy as far as brightness. Feel like I wasted $50. Still looking for a fix.

HID Question

Are there any electrical mods that need to be made to my KR to use the HID kits or are they just a matter of swapping out the stock bulbs?

Thanks

Retro Solutions is a great kit. Silverstars are a bit brighter than stock, but it is what it is. Still don't understand why Ford does not offer HID...
