Roter Problems on 2007 KR, anyone else???
I have had this ongoing problem with my 2007 KR and its roters. My car started shaking real bad when I used my breaks, even the steering wheel shook. I went to get my roters changed bc my truch was still under warranty. That was around 40,000 miles. I now have 60,000 miles and my truch has gone back to the shaking problem that it had before but worse. It has not even been a year

Has any other KR owners experienced anything similar??? I need to figure this out so I can handle it appropriately. Thanks for any help.

And, if it was fixed once, many states have a "lemon law" that should keep you from having to pay for the same repair again, even if it's not still under warranty. What you are experiencing is certainly not in the "normal wear and tear" category.
I wonder if you're feeling an overly aggressive ABS reaction to braking?

My 2005 has the same problem........the rotors were turned once and the problem dissapeared for about 4,000 miles but is now back..........overly aggressive driving is not an issue with my truck, I drive it like a little old lady...........
I have purchased but not yet installed new drilled and slotted rotors and new premium brake pads...........I am also changing my combination 1 piece front rotor/hubs to 2 piece rotor hubs.........using Centric hubs...........
I hope to get everything installed in the next week or two.........hopefully getting away from Ford rotors will solve the problem........

Thanks for the help guys I will take this info to my guy and see what he says before taking any further action. I do have a lot of brake dust and my dads has the same exact problem and he does have a lot of brake dust as well.
I did have my rotors turned under warranty but they started problems back up again probably after 15,000-20 miles after turning, but never really felt smooth.

Look closely at your calipers when you work on your rotor/brake pad issues again. Both of my calipers were "dragging" causing rotor problems. Replaced both calipers and have had no further issues with the rotors.
Consider replacing your rotors if they've been machine once already.
Your situation is likely caused by torquing the lug nuts way beyond specification. Normally, you have to ask for hand tightening and torquing the lug nuts at a dealership or mechanic shop. I always ask politely for this service (never had to pay more) and if the dealer/shop is reluctant to do so, I ask they not perform the service (plenty of other shops will love to have your business).
My previous '07 KR had 58k miles on the odometer when it was traded in with original rotors. Smooth braking too.

I had the same problem in my 06 before I sold it. I replaced the rotors, pads, and had the front calipers rebuilt at 60,000 miles. Had the same problem at 84,000 miles and had to rebuild the rear calipers as well this time. I sold the truck soon after because I was tired of putting money into it.
