Keyless Entry ? yes, another one

ok, i've read just about every article on these things and still can't seem to find mine. I have a 03 KR f150 with the rear buckets, if that matters, so where is my BCM? or the module that allegedly has the 5 number security code on it. It's not in my seat back and can't find it under the dash even with my cheaters on. and no, it's not in the manual.

Thanks for your help.

It isn't on the rear wall behind the back seat on the driver's side?

Nope, the damned thing was hidden on the DS near the e brake. there was a large harness in front blocking it from view.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I'm having the same problem locating mine on my '07 KR...I'll try again and see if I have a harness blocking mine. Thanks for the tip...going out now to see if third time is a charm.

If the KR is like all other Screws, 2004 up, the Body Control Module is located behind the back of the rear seat. You have to remove the back to find the label attached. Your dealer can hook up a computer and get the 5 digit number. Usually costs about $35 but a GA Peach could probably bat her eyelashes and get it for free.

Why thank you, sugah! How sweet of you to say that...if it saves me from pulling out that rear seat, I just may have to try that (I'll bet a short skirt, tight shirt, high heels and red lipstick wouldn't hurt my chances either, huh?)

There is supposed to be a card in the owners manual that has a five number code on it, It is the side of a credit card, white with blue writing. This is the code and the first and easiest place to look. Have you overlooked this?

Keith, I know there is supposed to be a card in the owner's manual but I bought the truck used (yesterday) and it was not in any of the paperwork nor with the manual. I'm sassy...not stupid. But thanks for the suggestion.

I figured that, but wanted to make sure. I saw that card for 4 years before I found out what it was.

Well, I looked again...and after practically standing on my head and contorting myself into several ungraceful and unlady-like positions, I did see the box (sort, of) but due to a metal bracket and wire harness being in the way, I could only see 2 of the 5 numbers. Darn it! Guess, I better practice batting my eyelashes and think about putting on that short skirt and high heels 'cause it sure looks like I'm gonna have to make a trip to the local Ford dealer to see if I can sweet talk somebody into giving me the master code.

I don't really think you're going to find it near the e-brake on a 2004+ truck.

If the short skirt and tight shirt and all the other things don't work, I posted a suggestion you might try with the dealership you got the truck from in your other thread.

(And, I just checked your UserCP, and I see you're President of a "Medical Research Foundation". Now I'm really impressed! I could tell by the way you write that you have more going for you than just good looks, and that confirms it. What's the name of the foundation?)

How astute of you to pick up on those details of my life, Mr. Jack. I'm impressed! Since you asked, I will be happy to tell you (hope it doesn't bore the rest of the forum members). I am President of NoMercury, a philanthropic organization that lobbies at the Federal and State level to ban the use of mercury in medicine and biologics (such as vaccines). I am also Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Alan D. Clark, M.D. Memorial Research Foundation (which was established in honor of my late husband). We do research on the harmful effects of mercury on the human body, particularly sensitive populations such as pregnant women, infants, children and senior citizens. To make a long story short...scientific research shows that mercury has a causal relationship to Autism and Alzheimer's. I hope to end both in my lifetime, as these diseases are devasting to families. Thank you for being interested enough to inquire.

Kind regards,

Lujene
