What happened to it KingRanchCoy?
I've been wanting one of these ever since I first saw one in 2003. Been looking for the past couple of years for an early version like this. Previous owner really babied this one. Southern vehicle, no rust. Hardly any interior wear. Feeling lucky I found it. Just had sparks/coils redone. Drives like a dream. Like black the best. 165,000 miles.

I know, its an old thread but I'm new and am a believer in owner group forums.
I'm really stoked and enjoying reading all of the posts, (even though many are very old lol)
After doing some searching for an F150 i found this single owner 2003 KR at a lot in Portland Oregon over 300 miles away, only 65k miles on the odometer. original owner purchased from this same dealer, and traded it in for a new model13 years later. They had all of the repair/maintenance records for me. He totally babied it. Hell, even the tires are brand new. I'm excited to be a member of the King Ranch family of owners and look forward to all the information this forum has to offer.

Well, it doesn't appear that there is much banter going on in this forum any longer! I can say that I'm guilty of that myself though. That Deep Wedgewood Blue KR is in very good shape! You got lucky...most people do not have any idea how to condition the seats, much less take care of the rest of the ride!
My '02 SuperCab in Chestnut just turned 79K miles!
Shout to any "Old Timers" still lurking...RockPick, Lenny, Mike etc.!

Timberdoodles... you're still here!
Haven't been on the forum in a few years it seems.... still have my 2002 KR 4x4 Supercrew (Charcoal Blue - BEST COLOR!!) LOL Hard to believe I bought it 15 years ago this month..... 77,780 original miles.... no one ever warned me back then about a KR addiction... ha-ha.... probably spent more $$ on it than worth it to keep it going but just can't come around emotionally to get rid of it.... keep telling myself I'll need a truck today to tow the 23' Boston Whaler I keep dreaming about!
Still remember the days when this forum was in it's infancy... all the familiar names like Rockpick, Daveman, Skagel, etc, etc, etc (you know who you are!) - arguing about what the best wax was, all the experiments on the leather, the KR portfolios & gifts Ford used to give away to each new owner, trips to the actual King Ranch, etc, etc... still chuckling on how we used to convince each other how great an investment we had made in buying them as surely they will become highly sought after collectibles in 15-20 years... (no one has knocked on my door.. LOL)
Anyways... glad to see the excitement and pride still exists among the newer owners....

Timberdoodles - you'll laugh at this one but I actually took out the truck this afternoon for an errand..... drove 5 miles & was at a light - driver coming the other way stops along opposite me & tells me my front left tire is flat (I had NO idea!! Seemed to drive fine @ 30 mph...)
Anyways.. pulled over in a lot, went to change it... could not get the spare to crank down.... (haven't touched it in 10 years!) tried for 10-15 min.... God save me, but luckily after 15 years there was still a sticker on the jack handle that said the spare had an anti-theft adapter located in the glovebox...!
Bottom line, guess it's time to get some new AT Revo's - event though they may have 15K on them, there probably 8-10 yrs old & cracking.... at my age, I can relate...

Oh yea, we used to solve all the world's problems, and even ones with the KR's too! When I logged in the other day, I saw that I hadn't been on since Jan of '16, but didn't think that I had missed much. Everybody trying to re-invent the wheel, instead of just using what works on the seats. Wonder how many KR seats were screwed up back then with "home remedies"?
Moved again, which is about right for me & my wife...every 5 years! No more, next move is to a funeral home, I'm done moving, and we're in a place we like also.
Honestly, my first choice in color was the Deep Wedgewood Blue, but I couldn't find a used SuperCab anywhere, and couldn't afford to order a new one, so my Chestnut is suiting me just fine still!
Glad to see you're still up and kicking Mike, maybe some others will chime in soon?
Take care now, be careful out there!
