Need opinions please!!!!

OKAY GUYS I HAVE BEEN A PROUD OWNER OF A 03 KR SINCE JUNE AND I LOVE THIS TRUCK TO DEATH BUT I FOUND A 2008 KR with 9,000 miles that i like. i dont know what i would do with my 03. What would be the value of the 03. It has 93,000 miles no scratches at all and the interior is in decent shape. Here is the pick of my 2003

and here is a summary of the new truck

This F150 KING RANCH is the epitome of craftsmanship. Amazing for the street, or the track, this F150 KING RANCH is sure to sell quickly! Very low mileage vehicle. With just 8766 miles, this car is barely broken in. The body of this vehicle is straight and the paint is in excellent condition, with absolutely no signs of prior damage or reconditioning. This vehicle has brand new tires. 22" chromed wheels, This vehicle was tastefully optioned. Power door locks. Power mirrors. Power windows. Power sliding back window. Power adjustable foot pedals. Power front seats with memory set position (driver). Home-link universal transceiver. Steering wheel mounted cruise, climate and audio controls. AM/FM stereo with compact disc player. AUX jack input. Fog lamps. Privacy windows. Keyless entry feature. Safety child door locks. Driver and passenger air bags system. Rear parking assist. Running side boards. Anti-Lock brakes system (ABS). Heated front seats. Tilt/adjustable steering wheel column. Air conditioning. Driver and passenger lighted vanity mirrors. We welcome pre-buy inspections. The interior of this vehicle is virtually flawless. Leather seat triming. The transmission in this vehicle shifts very smoothly. Very smooth ride! automatic transmission with overdrive and tow/haul switch, All electronic components in working condition. All interior components are in good working order. One of the most attractive color combinations available on a F150 KING RANCH! The balance of the factory warranty will be transferred to the new owner of this vehicle. An after-market warranty is available for purchase on this vehicle. This vehicle is priced to sell. You won't find a better price for this vehicle anywhere.

It's probably just me, but I find this wording "odd" and a bit "unsettling": "The body of this vehicle is straight and the paint is in excellent condition, with absolutely no signs of prior damage or reconditioning. This vehicle has brand new tires. 22" chromed wheels, This vehicle was tastefully optioned."

Why talk about a "straight body", "no signs of prior damage or reconditioning"?

I'd never say this about a vehicle I was selling, unless, it had been in a crash???

Not saying it has been in a collision, but, don't trucks usually come from the factory with a straight body and with no signs of damage or reconditioning?

Why don't you get a Carfax (did I spell that right?) report on it?

I'm on KR #2 (heck, Lenny is on like KR #17 or something... LOL!)... I have to tell you, there's something about that first body style that I *really* miss. I still see my 2001 floating around here on occasion... it still has the KROC sticker in the back glass and that horrible XM antenna on it (that I didn't remove when I traded).

Being perfectly honest with you, I miss that truck a lot and think that it was superior to the one I have now in quality and in looks. I've only had a couple of things go south with this truck (my 2005) but, I miss that 01'... miss it a lot. Chestnut is the nicest color that Ford has conceived...

LOL...

I think he went to the 'keep them both' thought later in the thread's genesis.

I had to throw a jab in there just to see if you were paying attention...

I will second that motion RP...Chestnut IS the nicest color, and, the "old body style" is tops in my book!

To answer your original question, I have an 03 4x4 in good shape with 104K on the clock and it's worth in the neighborhood of 9500 bux....

I like the newer KR, but thats what I drive. The rims made me sick at my stomach though.

I miss my old F150, I did not have to worry about scratches...and I digg the older body.

OP, if you want to find out the value of your current ride, you can find it on the net rather easily. There's two values you need to view - 'trade-in' value (the price the dealer wants to pay for your ride) and 'private sale' value (the price you would receive selling the vehicle privately to another person). The spread between the two can be considerable.

Lastly, if you are in doubt, walk into your bank, talk to a loan officer and they can quickly tell you the NADA or KBB values for your ride or potential purchase.
