Question Unique Headlight question

I have a 2007 F-150 4X4 Supercrew King Ranch. This evening, my wife was outside sitting and noticed the headlights and interior lights came on by itself. She thought I was messing with her with the remote, but I wasn't any where near my keys.

Has anybody's truck done this before??

I've seen this happen when I've leaned up against something with the keys in my pocket. All you have to do is put a bit of pressure on the door unlock button. Then too, I've set off the panic alarm the same way. :o

I can understand that, but me and the keys were in two different rooms. Do I need to call for Ghost Hunters??

I ALMOST added a "ghost" possibility to my last post, but then I thought, no - he'd just think I was not taking the problem seriously.

This is weird. I wonder if someone else just happens to have an identical unlock code and used it? I know the chances are VERY remote, but there are only a finite number of codes and maybe....

I have to tell a story. Janet and I went on a trip into Central America a few months back and at our last hotel, I slipped my keycard into the slot at what I thought was our room and walked right in to someone else's room. My first thought was, "What are you two doing in our room?" Then, I wondered, where's Janet? (I was coming back to the room alone). Finally, I realized my card had opened someone else's room and after a lot of apologies and thankfulness that everyone was dressed and so on, I went on to our room. :o

I wonder if anyone over on the electrical systems forum would have any brilliant ideas? I sure don't.

Hmm... unique, indeed.

I think this is where we note to not feed your truck after midnight nor should you allow it to sit out in the rain...

<-- it's kind of like a Gremlin?

Anyway... what I would suggest is that you take this one up to the Electrical Forum. While I've not seen this happen and don't recall reading any other similar cases, some of the electrical gurus may be able to logically explain it. If not, please see my initial suggestion (water, feeding after midnight).

Best of luck!!

On another forum we were talking about the Steven King novel, "Christine". Kind of made me afraid to go near my car for awhile. Have you "named" your truck, DLL66?
