Don't think it would look "terrible" - but it would be nice if if matched one of the truck's colors (probably the major color of the truck and not the bed rails).

This is the URL (I think): http://www.bakliner.com/g2.htm

I'm sure the black would look just fine. In fact, it would probably look sick as hell to be honest. IMO

BTW, nice screen name lol

I have the BakFlip but no picks handy. I went with the BakFlip because it fits between the rails and cannot be seen from the side.

Thanks guys, I think I'm going with one. Seems to be the best option plus the distributer is just up the road from me. I like that you can't see it from the side as well.

I've had to re-align mine once or twice for the latches. Give that a try, it only takes a minute.

Do you open and close it with care or are you one of those that just use it without any type of regards what-so-ever?

Well that's not good to hear. I have read that the generation II is better, but still not sure. I appreciate the picture though, it does look a lot better than I thought it would. I'm still on the fence, but going up to Conroe this weekend to talk to the guys.

edit: truck looks great, love the beefy tires you are running.

^^^ thanks

and yes i do open and close it like it is meant to be i dont abuse it or anything. and ive tried the re-alignment and it still does it. when i get some time im going to fab something up to fix the problem. probably shims between the latch itself and the cover if you can picture what i mean. i might even fab up some metal latches to replace the crappy plastic ones. and i want to seal it all with some silicone or something. i really like the looks and the design has potential but its made so cheap.

Not to steal this thread and de-rail it, but judging from all those Mahogany King Ranches, it's time to get rid of mine.

Oh, and ARE lids are killer, but that's my lop-sided opinion.

But wow what a gorgeous color combo. That is probably my favorite. Nice rides.

I don't have a KR but I've had the Bakflip G2 on my Lariat for about 15 months now without a spec of trouble. I love it. I too have had to realign it once or twice after having it folded up for some time -like carrying the golf cart cross country for 3-4 days. Otherwise it's been great and the only leaking has been very, very, very minimal right around the tailgate.

I recently added a Roush spoiler and the rubber lip of the G2 lays right up on it making a very nice seal. Prior to that Ihad considered maybe adding a piece of weather stripping to the underside of that lip to make things a bit more watertight, but now I don't think it's necessary.

A thumbs up for the Bakflip G2.

I`ve Had a 1st gen for about a year now(funny how they came out with the 2nd gen. a week later) biggest POS I`ve ever bought. Might as well not even have a top on it`s leaks so bad. Ruined alot of tools! Latch system is a joke.

I've got the G2 Bakflip as well, and have had no issues what so ever. Great tonneau cover as far as I consider. The odd little bit of water by the tailgate, but everything else is great.

When putting in the tubes for the front drain, I used a hole saw to drill into the rubber plugs that are in the front of the box. It made a nice clean install of the drain hose, compared to just using a blade a making an X shape for the tube to slide into.

Best accessory that I've gotten yet....
