Selling my '07 F150 King Ranch 4wd...

Well, I've decided to put my '07 up for sale and was just wondering what would be a good price? I was offered $22,000 to trade it in on a Super Duty. I looked at KBB and it lists trade-in as $22,800. Private party value is listed at $26,730 and retail value is 30,875. I was thinking of putting it up for $26,000. Anyone purchase a used 06-07 King Ranch lately...if so, how much did you pay?

Thanks...

A new 08 will go for 30K... But the funny part, is that you MIGHT be able to get 30K selling it yourself. Ask 28, and take 26K. JMO...

I bought my 2007 F150 Supercrew 4x4 KR at Marshall Ford in Union, Ms on 09/02/08. I paid $23900...(add a little 5% used car interest rate and at payoff I will have paid $27800) It had 33000 miles. I feel like I got a good deal.

with how the truck market is IMO that is a very good deal for a dealership to be paying you. if you keep it, it might take a while to sell just because of rebates. my dad paid 28k for his 08 KR new. so i would not pay 26 for a used one when i could get a new for 2k more. but im sure someone will if you dont need the money instantly to pay for the truck.

My local dealer offered me $18K for mine on trade for a new Lariat F-250
4 x 4 diesel. I was freaked!! He then showed me recent results of local wholesale auctions and they are going for between $17~$20K! I paid $39K on a $45K MSRP a year ago so I've theoreticaly lost $20K in a year! 2007 F-150 SuperCrew KR 4 x 4.

I'm going to keep it and drive it.

Are you selling the truck because you want a new one? If so, the dealer's offer may be good. However, you MIGHT get a better deal if you talk him down to a good low price without a trade and then sell your truck yourself private party. I've sold my last two trucks that way and gotten KBB value for each of them.

There's still a truck market out there and buyers should be willing to pay the Private Party sale price for an "excellent condition" truck, especially since they won't have to pay sales tax on it like they would if they buy from a dealer.
