6 Disk CD Player

I have an 07, F-150, King Ranch with the standard 6 Disk CD Player, Audiophile with Satellite Radio. Problem I have is that for some reason when I start the truck up the CD player will start to search through the 6 CD's. Making a lot of noise as the player seems to be reading the CD's. The player stops on the CD that I was last listening to, but it will always cause the CD to restart at the first song on the CD. This does not happen every time I start the truck, and it does not matter if I leave the Radio in AM, FM, Satellite Radio, or the CD mode. Or if the Radio on or off. Can anyone tell me why this happens and if I can do anything to stop it from happening again.

Flash - you seem to contradict yourself, but I'm assuming you are saying the problem you're describing is "intermittent", right? (Sometimes it happens, sometimes not).

I know what I'd do if the thing is under warrenty - I'd get it fixed/replaced. Do it now before the warrenty expires.

If it's not under warrenty, at least talk to the company that made it. They may have some ideas. You can also poke around in this web site: http://www.willmanselectronics.com/ although they may not work on Sat radios. I found some good information for the radio in my Honda there.

I have the same problem. It gets really annoying when you have to listen to the radio and you want to listen to your cd.

keep me posted on what the dealership does

thanks.

I can't help but that only happens to me if I disconnect the battery.

It's interesting to reconnect the battery, isn't it? First time I did it, I thought somethng was broken. Then I realized it was the CD changer and was relieved when it stopped and I found the thing still worked!

Now I hate to disconnect the battery. Too many thngs have to be brought back to life.
