king ranch seats

I just bought an 06 {dw) it has 72k miles so the person really drove it alot. It looks like they did not care for the seats cause they look like crap. I was surfing today on the forum and decided to join and tell you what I found out about them. If you want to dye your seats don't put any type of oil on them. That was a mistake I made before I found out they could be dyed the same King ranch color. I called this guy who does leather and is familiar with king ranch leather. I found it on this forum that someone had him dye their KR seats and I got so excited I called him. Well I did mess up and now they can't be dyed but I can have him replace the leather. That was interesting. If I can't get them to look good again I'm just going to replace the leather for about 600.00. It's expensive but I can't see any other way out of the mess. The truck was sold to me really reasonable (in the 20's) so I can't complain a whole lot. If you saw the seats you would agree. They look bad.

What kind of "oil" are you referring to.

How much leather are you getting replaced for $600? The leather is not cheap, it's not uncommon to find KR seats on ebay going for well over $1k...
