Trans Temp Gauge

A similar post is also in the transmission section. Seeings how my truck is a King Ranch I thought of also posting here.

I want to mount a trans temp gauge in my truck. I saw one mounted in the dash. Only problem is it is right where my 4wd switch is.

I want to relocate the 4wd switch to the other side of the dash where the power plug is and mount the temp gauge in the current 4wd switch location. Does anyone know of a link, gauge installation write up or any other info to do this? I cannot locate any reference material.

By the way I have a 2007 Screw KR, 4x4.

Thanks for any reference material or links.

Have you considered an Edge Evolutions programmer? This will allow you to monitor several of the trucks sensors plus provide you with a better responding truck. I assume since you want to monitor the trans temp that you will be towing.

Check it out http://www.edgeproducts.com/

Hi Gunny;
Yes, I would like to monitor the trans temp while towing. I figure the trailer weighs around 6,500# (need to get an accurate weight on the loaded trailer).

I will look into the edge, but I want to get a gauge on my dash - hopefully with an OEM look to it.

You can find different color backgrounds on gauges and different color glows (night time). Looks will not be a big problem since there are so many out there.

You just need to find where you want to put it.

I saw one posting some time ago where a guy had a triple gauge in the dash about where the pocket is on my truck (XLT) below the single power adapter. I didn't pay it much attention at the time but was looking for it recently since I want a trans & coolant temp gauge and an oil psi.

I plan on getting efans and want the true readings vs '2-late' factory dash gauges. I think I decided on the Evo since I can watch temp readings by numbers vs analog sweeps.
