Does your cowling trap water?

My cowling at the base of my windshield collects puddles of water in each of the small waffle like spaces every time it rains or i wash the truck. It is only on the drivers side, the passengers side has holes for it to drain. Is everyones liek this? I guess I need to drill holes in every one of the little squares to drain the water? This is on a 2006 KR Screw.

Lol. It drives me crazy. When I dry down my truck I use a compressed air hose there and around the door handles, badges etc. You can actually lean over and blow most of it out. Imo I wouldn’t drill holes! My .02

I traded the 04 to the King Ranch. I still have a 99 F150 4x4 off road though.

20 questions time!
Have any more pics of that?

Where did you get it? How much? Does it come painted?

And as for the stock one, does anyone know if there is a reason that some of the vent spaces don't have holes? Maybe it blocks water there for a reason? If not, I might drill mine.

I got it from a local truck accessories store, but I think the website is truckaddons.com The brand is street scene. Can't really remember the price, but I think maybe around 120.00 & it does not come painted, just a white gelcoat ready to be painted.

Pretty sure the stock unit is not drilled is because it covers the wiper motor.

That is exactly correct. Search 'ice cube tray' and you'll see oodles of posts about it back from early 04' when they were released.

Ice cube tray indeed ... it doesn't really bother me but I have literally had the water freeze in there before .. the biggest problem that I have with mine is that the left cowl doesn't like to stay "down", it is always slightly popped up above the right cowl and will occasionally vibrate, very annoying..
