Grumpy King Ranch owners in Georgia
This might very well be the most juvenile of all complaints you guys have ever heard. I live in Atlanta and rarely see King Ranch F150s. Well I passed three yesterday and gave them all very visible waves (two lane roads- they could see me) and not one of them waved back. I had a jeep in high school and I can tell you that all jeep owners wave at one another.
I was just wondering if this happens to you guys. I also think its funny that this could actually get under my skin!
I just need one of these

Ah well you see......you have to be a senior member of the forum, and then be sponsored by two members each of whom must have at least 20.000 posts, and then for a not insubstantial fee you will be told the secret of the King Ranch wave.
Once you know that any time you see a KR give them the special sign, and you will be sure of a response !!!
(But keep a close eye on your rear view mirror)
yeah it bugs me too to some extent b.c so many drivers its "just a truck" or "just an f150" that they dont realize that you care so much about your truck and what not. Maybe 1 out of 100 f150 owners really cares about their truck, and then maybe 1 out of every 1000 is on this forum...

I get a couple "nice truck" comments every week...these are from non F150 owners.

People in Atlanta are a whole 'nother breed... nobody waves for anything. I'm good about letting people over or out in traffic, if they do it the right way, but nobody ever waves to say thanks. I can understand how that gets under your skin; it's not a big deal, but when you grow up with that common courtesy it's like a slap in the face after a while.
I don't even know why I live here.

If I would have seen you I would have waved back!
I've noticed this as well, but it could always just be the drivers... When I had my 'vette 95% of the people you passed would wave back, I've had maybe 1 or 2 wave back in the KR.

People where I live are pretty nice. Some go so far as to tap their brakes three times if I let them over.
I have found that most other Ford truck owners in my area acknowledge me by nodding. Ford truck owners around here have a certain respect for other owners. I have gotten countless compliments on my truck (especially after my level and tires and after a good wash) from people in parking lots, drive throughs, and such, and I don't even drive a new truck. Of course, I do the same. If I see a truck I will not hesitate to tell the owner I admire it, especially when I'm at work. I love working on Ford trucks when people bring them in, and I tell them that.
One of my co-workers and I were doing a tire balance and rotation on a 2003 F-250 Lariat FX4 Triton V10, and I made a comment about how nice the truck was. He said he didn't think it was anything special. I explained to him why I liked it (too much to type here), and he said he wasn't impressed. I couldn't believe it. He said it was no different than any other truck and there isn't anything that it can do that anything else can't. He said it was ugly. I told him to go away and I would finish it because he didn't deserve to touch it. Of course, he drives a Dodge Neon....
Anyway, some people just don't appreciate the things that we do.

Thanks for the responses guys. I really meant it as a joke but I appreciate the people that acknowledged it in a positive way.
I have other toys now and if I had another slot in the garage I would gladly add another jeep to my fleet. Have fun out there and wave back to other King Ranches on the road
