How does it look? Did you take it to a Ford dealer for the repair?

Well, the inside looks fine. Both doors were painted on the driver side. I asked when I could clay and use the DA on them he said 60 days. Which kind of pisses me off bc there is overspray on the hood...I can feel it. Another thing and I am not happy with is that I now have "swirls" all up the pillars on each door. Again, i can buff out but I want to know where they blended vs new painted.

The dent is gone but there is still a ripple there that I can see, and you could see if I showed you but it ok.

It was taken to a local body shop.

If the hood wasn't painted... you're good to go on it. They are, however, correct in telling you to stay away from the doors for a while.... Non-catalyed paints need some time to flash off their volatiles.

RockPick these are the paints that have the clear integrated into them right?

I need to run down there next week and ask him how far he "blended" and if can see the swirls I saw last...it made me a tad sick to my stomach after spending sooooo much time on this paint.

They did paint the two tone all the way down to for some reason...

I'd have to be totally honest in saying that I don't know that much about the painting systems... just the difference between catalyzed and non...

I know I've worked on vehicles that were in and out of the body shop and haven't really treated the paint any different -- other than not being 'as' aggressive with some problem areas for fear of working through the paint. I would think that if the color coat and clear were 'together' that I would've seen some color on the pads while abrasively polishing... I didn't. *shrugs*
