I can send you the file if you want, all you have to do is replace my data with yours.

I just filled up today, my math shows 12.09, the trucks computer showed 12.9

I'm averaging 12.79 city drivng over 6 tanks of fuel.

I wonder if the formula in the PCM is wrong? Could it be set for 18" tires when I have 20"? ( These are factory tires though)

I have been watching mine like a hawk and keeping my foot out of it - I am getting right at 13.2 in town and 16.4 on the highway. I don't do a lot of highway.

Thanks for the spreadsheet!

Last fill up on Saturday I averaged 13.59 MPG on the tank.

Truck is a 4x4 and I go easy on the gas pedal.

I just filled up a little while ago. I did the mileage by miles vs gallons and averaged 14.74 mpg. Now that is mostly in town driving with a little highway each day.

in my 2007 Supercrew KR 4x4 with 150" wheelbase I get 14-15 mpg driving around town and 17-21 on the highway depending on my speed.

edit: that's using 87 octane, never used anything else.

KR gas mileage

I just bought a 2006 KR 4x4 with 26K miles on it. On the highway I was getting just over 18 mpg (18.7) averaging 70mph. Driving to work, about 13 miles each way on my last tank, I was amazed that I got 17.1 mpg. I try to keep the rpm below 2000 on acceleration and cruise around 55 mph. I also calculate my mpg each fillup as the computer is only averaging since you last reset it and is not even exact if you reset it on each fillup. The key to the highest mileage IMO is to keep the rpm as low as possible and cruise speed reasonable. On the autobahn, I can see where you NEED to go fast just to not be a safety hazard! At the higher speeds you may consider leaving your tailgate open or getting a bed cover to increase mileage. Enjoy your KR!
Prost!

Begates!

Yep, I have the bed cover. I normally go about 42 miles each way to work. I don't drive it everyday, but when I do, I try to stay betwen 65-70 miles an hour, which is the bare minimum one would want to go. Some of those fancy European models will fly by me like I am sitting still. But at least I can pull their house off the foundation!

Gas is sucking right now.....close to three bucks a gallon......but what can you do? I only have a couple of more months, then the KR will be on the ship going back across the pond.

Prost to you!

I have a Lariat Screw 4x4. 76mph today and I was getting nearly 19mpg. BTW - bed covers and tailgate down doesn't work. See mythbusters for details. Best is tailgate up or a mesh tailgate. Tonneau covers add a lot of weight as well.....

Milage Towing

Just towed 4,500 lbs. from Alabama to NC and averaged 12.1 mpg. I average 14-16 daily to & from work (22Miles) and have seen 18 mpg doing 60 on the interstate. Anything above that & it drops dramatically.

I drive mine as easy as I can manage and I have averaged exactly 16.0 mpg since I bought the truck. Less in the winter, more in the spring and fall.

Yep, I've been keeping my foot out of it....I filled up the tank today at a local Esso station.........the pump stopped at 90 liters, which was a total of 123 Euros! Convert that into dollars and that equals right at $173! That's what the Germans pay for gas. And 90 liters is right at 23.5 gallons.

And I complain about paying $3.00 a gallon? The Germans are paying about $7.30 a gallon!

Time to start taking the train to work!
