KR at the KR

I have just returned from a 2,500 mile round trip to Albuquerque from the Rio Grande.
As we came back through Kingsville I thought I would update the picture that I once posted of the F 150 at the entrance.

The roads in New Mexico were so quiet we managed a consistent 65 mph most of the time on the cruise control and the mpg came out better than I've ever seen before.
Average for the trip 18.1 and it was good to see the computer showing 535 to empty at one stage !

Yes..well spotted.

I forgot I had the camera on low res. and they don't show up well.

I ordered the decals to cover up the Ford emblems some time ago, but the first ones they sent were the wrong size.
The other week I found them in a drawer and thought I would make use of them.
Funnily enough I took them off just today as I wasn't keen on the look !

Cheers

PS If you didn't see the original pic showing the decal more clearly...here it is.

I got a few of the KR F150 badges a few years ago on EBay.

I used them on the F150's I had at the time, then when I got the Expy I carefully cut away the F150 part and added the badges you see at the front and an extra one at the rear.

I still see the badges on EBay from time to time and of course they are available from your dealer as well.

Here's the rear if you hadn't seen it before....

Thanks 'neighbor'.

(As you are just down the road from me.)

Actually I rather agree with you as I have thought that too.....however if you are going to make that type of comment I would suggest you choose a rather more tactful way of saying it, perhaps with an additional useful comment or two .

Your comment as a relative newcomer to the forum was somewhat blunt.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and as I say I agree in a way, but this is a friendly chatty place, and that way of posting is not going to endear you to the community.

hey sorry about that.

Where are you in the RGV anyway?

I just think it looks a little cluttered with KR stuff in my honest opinion. Too me, it makes me think this to myself ... "I get it, you own a KR edition expedition."

Sorry if I'm so blunt, but I like clean looking vehicles. I say shave them off, and keep it simple. This is all just my opinion, as that is not my truck. Do what you like best.

I do actually understand what you are saying.

I have often debadged vehicles, some when brand new the first day I owned them!

With the KR I am rather fond of the badging...I think its rather a classy badge and having owned the first KR F150 that came into the valley in 2001 I do have an affinity for it, plus my long standing connection with this forum.

We are just the other side of Bayview from you by the way.
