HOLY SMOKES man! Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like there's quite a few holes to jump through. I'll go back to negotiating the best deal that still makes all the parties some $ (keyword 'some')

Granted, last time I was in Mexico, I saw a lot of F-150 (called Lobo) down there and not many Chevy or Dodge. Though, the drivers didn't exactly look like Wharton grads.

I used the X-plan to purchase an Explorer back when I was a contract engineer at Ford. When I bought my King Ranch I wasn't with Ford anymore, but I went to the same dealer and they gave me the X-plan again. It was great to be able to walk in and not have to haggle about the price.

Interesting little tidbit I learned when I bought the KR. The dealerships apparently don't have to accept the X or A-plans. In Detroit they don't have much of a choice when it comes to honoring the plans. As soon as you get away from there, you don't have as many people working for the automotive industry, so the dealerships can ignore the plans and make more money.
