THIS IS NOT AN OFFER TO SELL MY TRUCK !!!
I purchased my 2005 Copper King Ranch new last year and have placed a whopping 3900 miles on it since then. I added a Line-X Liner and Extang Full Tilt Cover right after I bought it.
My situation may soon be that I need to downsize from my KR so I'm looking for advice as the best place to sell my truck, if it comes to that.
Anyone in Florida bought or sold one lately? If so what did you pay or sell yours for?
Thanks,
Mike - SW FLA

You've given us almost no information about your truck, so it's impossible to put a value on it. For example, the resale values of 4WD and 2WD trucks are literally thousands of dollars apart.
So, to get a better idea, add to your post what your truck is and all of the factory options. As a general rule of thumb, the aftermarket parts are worthless. Is a Line-X nice? Absolutely. Will it add actual value to your truck? Most likely not. It could be a differentiator -- the reason someone buys your truck versus another similar truck, all things being equal (including price).

Hope that helps and thanks again for the reply.

Nada says around $34,000 for retail and $30,000 for trade-in. The problem is that the invoice for a brand new 2006 F-150 optioned as you indicated (no audiophile, no moonroof, no reverse sensors, etc.) is $37,503. Add in the $4,000 in incentives and I have two options:
1) Buy your used 2005 for $34,000
2) Buy a brand new 2006 for $34,000 ($500 over invoice, less incentives)
So, I think that Nada is wrong. I probably wouldn't expect any more than $30K for your truck, or somewhere between 10-20% off of a brand new truck.
Purely my opinion. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Guess if it gets to the point I want to sell it, I will move it out of the garage and stick a sign on it in my driveway in busy Cape Coral.

Thanks for your advice. For my area KBB lists 31,000 trade and 35,000+ retail. Since it has less than 4,000 miles and the spray on liner/Hinged Bed Cover, etc perhaps I'll ask 32,000.
Thanks to all who replied to my questions.

Well, I decided to see what it will bring. It's cleaned, waxed and ready to go now with 4,050 miles and looks great.
We will see what happens this weekend.
Again, thanks for all your informational replys.
