Garage Attacks KR!

While backing out of the garage yesterday, the side of my garage sprung out and caught hold of my passenger side mirror. It snapped off some of the black plastic trim. I now have to find a place to buy a replacement trim kit for the mirror.
Must be me I guess. Last season, I had a boat trailer attack the rear bumper of my last truck. It punched a big dent in the chrome, and cost me over 300 bucks to replace it. All I was doing was backing toward it and WHAM! You just can't trust anything anymore.
Any suggestions where to look for a part?

Sorry to hear you have an attack garage. Yep....similar situation happened to me. While backing out of the driveway, a fence post in the middle of the driveway attacked my bumper. Only I can notice the slight chrome indention.

I am sure someone on this forum will know where you can get your replacement part. Good luck!

They say the statistics for insurance show that most auto accidents within 25 miles of home. We missed the message somewhere. We can't get 25 feet from home!

They have it all OK. You hit the jackpot with this referral. I'll contact them and see if they will just sell me the trimpiece though, because the whole mirror is listed at a weeks pay!
Thanks for the tip.

Also, you might try www.fordpartsnetwork.com -- you can email them (him) direct at torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com

I've done business with them several times... top notch service.

Best of luck! Sorry to hear about your mishap.

You realize of course that you could sue the homeowner for damages.

Oh wait, nevermind, .....can you sue yourself?

These days, if you find the right ambulance chaser, we could probably file a class action!

*side note -- ot*

Expy03 -- I removed the extra set of [img] tags that you had in your signature... I hope you don't mind... Now, instead of the [img] on each side of your picture in your signature, it's just your picture.
