I just got the HD grille for my KR as well but i'm having a few problems. Can someone please post a step by step way of removing the chrome surround from the kr grille? It just seems so tight and any pressure would cause the clips to break. Please help guys!

First of all, take it in the house on the carpet so you don't scratch it.

Then, grab a hand-full of small flat blade screwdrivers.

Pry up on the plastic posts that hold the pressure on the grill. Pry up slowly and a little at a time. If you try to move the post in one quick move, it will snap off.

When you get the posts loose enough, pull the grill apart at that point and use the handle of one of the screwdrivers to hold the grill apart, and move to the next one. Keep the outward pressure on the grill so it doesn't snap back into place as you move around. You may have to do two or three at one time in order to get this started.

Work slowly and take your time, and you won't break any clips.
