Wow, and I thought my front passenger seat was in bad shape (it's drying out again, farkin Meguires!). That's not a pretty site. Some TLC would help, but like lenny said, I wouldn't want to do it. My console has a dark spot (where the driver arm rests) on it and the steering wheel is dark of course. I can understand why they did away with the wrap steering wheel. At least I try to keep it looking good. I don't think that truck had any work done on it.

Perma Plate
I recently purchased a 2005 F150 King Ranch and I also purchased what was called the Perma Plate protection package. It includes an exterior paint protectant that warranties against any permanent swirls, bug droppings, or dulling of the paint for 5 years. It also included a Leather protectant and conditioner applied by the dealer which warranties against any non removable oil based or non-oil based stain, rips, tears, etc. for 5 years. I paid $400 for this package, but felt that it was best to have piece of mind...especially where the leather is concerned.

It can be cleaned...will take several sessions...but the Leather Master kit (LM-250) will clean it without harming the leather. The conditioner works well, also, but it's a bit too thin and watery for my taste, prefer the KR conditioner, but it does work well at reviving the leather.
My seats looked almost that bad and my steering wheel looked about like that when I got my 2001. The LM cleaner took all of the dirt, grime, and oil off (and turned a BUNCH of white towels filthy...so be warned <g>).

ViperGrendal -
The console on my 2002 KR developed that same problem - a dark spot where I rested my right arm. In an attempt to prevent that on my 2005, I bought a King Ranch Golf Towel from the KRSS and I've got it draped over the console. It's the perfect size to conver the sole, it's not permanent, and it protects the console from both my arm and the sun!

I bought a 2001 about a year and a half ago with only 34000 miles. I live in a dry, hot climate and I have treated my seats several times. Unfortunately, they look like these. The back seats look almost new, so I'm guessing the front seats look bad partly because of the sun--my front windows aren't tinted. What is the best way to fix the seats. I'm not afraid of work.

Can you post a picture of your seats.....
The seats in the original picture were soiled not just faded....I would have thought fading if they were clean would have looked different.
Although I have a lot of experience with leather, and when I'm in the States, also live in a very hot dry climate....It was over 90 here today in the Rio Grande....I'm really not sure what the answer is.
Maybe a couple of new Castano covers ?
They do appear on EBay from time to time.
If they ARE just faded then color treatments are available....I've used them successfully on beige leather in an older Bentley, but only in small areas.
Although specialists can recolor seats the effect is always poor...they almost look plasticky. (If that's a word)
Sorry I can't help more even though you are prepared to use elbow grease !!
