Removing the "4X4" sticker?

Hey gang -

I was looking at my KR the other day (I just love to do that - look at it) and it occurred to me that I think the side view would look better without those big cheesy "4X4" stickers on the rear quarter panels. BUT I'm a bit hesitant to just peel them off.

Anyone done that? Do they just peel off? What is the paint like underneath? I don't want to have to do all kinds of buffing and polishing or anything - I'm thinking that they should just peel off and if they leave any sticky residue behind, a little mineral spirits would take it right off without hurting the paint (I've used mineral spirits for years to remove road tar).

Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler?

I would hit them with a heat gun or hair dryere. They will peel off OK!

Being black let it set in the sun awhile and I bet they would come right off.

Good Luck
