I spotted this one today, a black 06
The seats appeared to be a little darker than the 05's i have seen. I took a pic of the inside but it care out pretty bad.

I like the look of the round fogs in person, they look better than the photos, but the inside needs to be painted ariz-beige it is just black plastic

 

I might be wrong but I'm sure I saw somewhere that the leather in the 06's will not be Castano....just as good but another name, though a little darker.

 

Could it be possible that b/c this is a new unit that the sun has not faded the seats. The other kr's i saw had been sitting on the lot for 3-4 months

That's actually what I was told by someone 'on the inside' at Ford. From the looks of the picture, that's not the case... at least not yet.

I guess we'll see.

I envisioned more of a KR Chaparral tone... maybe that's a stretch.

I'm still not sold on the round fogs. The truck looks like it's snarling now... Maybe I'll like it more once I see one in person. Thanks for the pics!!!

I think the round fogs look the best on the kr models but I just can't accept that change over the 04/05 fogs.

 

I hate those round foglights... everything on the truck is edgy or blocky. The old rectangular foglights looked far better and I am glad that I bought the 05.
The only thing I could think is that Ford was trying to standardize foglights as everything else uses these same round light housings. I can't say that I blame them, but it looks like crap.

The Castano leather is derived from the Santa Gertrudis breed of cattle on the King Ranch.

THE King Ranch will still supply the leather.

It would either be tanned slightly differently achieving a different colour and a different name or could come from a different breed.

Either way it would still be a King Ranch.

I really, really don't like those round lights.

What the heck were the guys at Ford thinking? Trying to save production costs or something?

I'm glad I got a 2005 - the rectangular lights just match the whole look of the front end much better.
