Hmm... so the new one has round fogs? That just a concept drawing or is that an actual?

Anyone seen one on a lot yet?

The King Ranch deserves a better looking grill.

That is the one big disappointment I have with mine, and it was a sore spot from the time I saw the truck on the dealer lot.

This truck should have the factory chrome billet grill, like the Harley has, or something similar.

Not so fast there, I like the grill on the current KR. That was one of the biggest selling features for me. As for a billet grill, please tell you that you are joking. Sorry, but billet grills belong on '85 Silverados with glass packs, not on $40k+ trucks.

I'll vote with the Wookie. I like the grill as it is, a heritage from the SuperDuty line, just like the front door windows. Of course, not much I don't like about the total package...

Color matched would be nice... That's my vote for grill upgrading. Same with the door handles, running boards (not sure why this picture shows them black, as I have seen the 05's have the AZ beige running boards), and mirror caps. Enough of this knobby black plastic crap.

I'm also a big fan of the current grill.

I also like the current grill...

...but I'd really like it if the "H" were chromed rather than AZ beige, to match the surround - that would really make it extra sharp-looking.

I am definitely going to get the gap-filler - I hadn't really noticed it until others here talked about it - I think that simple little thing makes it look much nicer. Why the heck did Ford leave that big space open anyhow?

I don't like the round driving lights at all - I think the current rectangular ones actually look better.

I have seen two 06 Lariats on the local dealers lot and they have the round fog lights. I don't think would be as effective as the current lights.

While I was at my local dealers lot today the owner came out and asked why he lost my business as I purchased my KR out of town. I received $1250 more from the dealer that sold me my truck and he had 13 copper KRs in stock while my local dealer had none.

The bottom line, he asked me not to bring my truck into his store for service.
I have pushed other buyers his way and in the past bought two trucks and two Taurus automobiles from the same dealer. Always went there for my service. NOT ANY MORE!

That's a little harsh.

I had an interesting comment on my truck at the dealer today. I took it in for the speed control recall, and when it was done, the service manager commented that he could see that I wouldn't be bringing my truck back in anytime soon. His comment was related to how modified it is and that it was obvious that Ford had never done any service on my vehicle besides warranty work. I took it as a compliment, but it was kind of a surprising comment nonetheless.

Yes that was harsh (and short-sighted and stupid as well) on the part of the owner. How does he stay in buisness?

Anyhow, perhaps he can choose not to service your truck for after-warranty work, but he will have no choice if it's in-warranty. Not that you would want to take it there now.

I have a dealer 1 mile from where I live. I wanted to buy my KR there but they wouldn't budge on the trade-in. I went across the river to another dealer and they offered what i wanted in trade. deal done. Anyhow, I am familair with the close-by place...the service writer knows me, blah blah. Since he knew I bought a new truck, he already has left a voicemail inviting me to bring the new truck in for warranty service to his place. It's OK by me.

I guess I lost my trust in the dealer, My salesman is caught in the middle. He is a good friend and did his best to get me a deal I would be happy with. It was the owner that came up short on the trade in. Now he will come up short on the money I would have paid for service. I have several choices that will service my truck.

I didn't mention the name but it is the only Ford dealer in my home town.

spotted one of the 06 kr's at a dealer this morning. didnt see any difference between that one and my 05 other than the round fog lites and the 20 inch tires.

oh yeah the price was about a grand more on the sticker.
