Pictures

This is an AWESOME TRUCK

1st Mod was to strip the dealer ad off the tailgate (did that last night while stopping at for the viewings). Didn't get pictures of the dealer ad but have pictures of it clean.

2nd Mod today right after work, had the front windows tinted 27%.

3rd Mod pending autospring 2" lift in route should be here Monday hope to have it completed by the weekend (only say that because Thanksgiving (I'll be lying around the house fat and happy watching some football)

Well, it certainly didn't offend me... but, we had it come up a while back and it was shot down as 'acceptable' so, I'm just following what someone else tells me to do at this point. Sorry man. Just doing my job.

Oh a different note...

I noticed that, within your signature, you say 'COACH CHRIS'. If you don't mind me asking, what do you coach?

I've been involved with soccer for nearly every day of my life. I played since I could walk. It got me through a couple of years of college as well (Division I even)....

Now that I'm old and fat, I ref. But, I'm doing all levels from youth 12 year olds up to college. It's great exercise, the camaraderie is excellent, and it's a nice supplemental income...

I am just voluntary right now.

I am a MARINE. I am waiting to see about a promotion, will find out by mid Dec hopefully. If not I will have served 20 yrs (Aug 05). If no promotion then craming school to work on an exercise science degree so I can maybe teach middle school and coach.

I coach basketball and soccer, I have been coaching for about 3 yrs now and was getting a little following of kids that the parents wanted me to coach. Though, I had to put my following aside for my daughter (who's teams I coach) because her game has stepped up a level and I needed to get her with some more well rounded teams.

I only played soccer up through high school, love both games but basketball just comes easier for me to coach.

On a funny note

I load some junk in the back of the bed to take to the dump today. I had the tailgate down to get it all in put her in reverse and the RSS was a steady beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!

Put it in park, jumped out while having a heart attack to realize it was the shadow from the tailgate.

Whoa, thank goodness only had her two full days now.

Yeah, I noted a similar instance the other day when I was simply backing out of my garage with the gate down....

The button down there next to the cig lighter is a nice little item sometimes... one click and, yahtzee, it's off.

05,

Congrats on your new truck, it's very nice. I too added the front window tint. I went with what is legal in SC and that is 35%. I also got a set of dark smoke in channel vent visors. Weathertech and EGR both makes sets manufactured in Germany and run about $80 for all four. I got the EGR brand this time and usually always stick with Weathertech but I would have had to order them and didn't want to wait. The EGRs are fine though.

I also experienced the steady beeping when the tailgate was down and finally figured out what that button on the center dash was for, hehe. On my '03 Expy, the rear sensor could be disabled from the menu where you reset your trip odometer and I kept trying to reset the '05 KR there and the option wasn't there.

Again Congrats on the new truck.

BTW, by the looks of the pics, are you in a tropical area? If you're a marine, I know there are several bases in the south one being about 60 miles from me in Beaufort SC.

PS, I'm going to level my truck out too and have the spacers off my '03 Expy that I removed before the wife took it. The spacers will raise the truck about 1.5" in the fron to get near level. The only think I hate about the lift kits is needing to disassemble the front spring/shock assembly, that's a bitch to do and I've come up with a design that will not require that work. I may draw it up and have some made and try it out. Basically it would be just a simple bolt on mod and no coil spring compressor would be required as is needed for most leveling kits. Get back in touch with me if you want to discuss in more detail.

Later,

~DM~

Dave,

Thanks, I again I say this truck is awesome, roomier, more powerful, and the looks (inside and out) speak for themself.

I am stationed in SC and the tint place told me 27% is the legal tint. I had 27% for the two years I have been here and I haven't been pull over. They used HP smoke, they even said I could put some tint of the rear windows but now looking at the link don't think I will.
Tint Laws.com for what it is worth

I don't know that I would call Beaufort tropic but it is a very nice area. I am trying to stay a couple more years.

I ordered the autospring 2" leveling kit for the reasons you mentioned above atleast that is what they advertised.
Autospring Auction on EBay

Check in the 04/05 forum they are always talking about which one is better. I went with the autospring cause I wanted to do it myself.

Any pics of the truck

05,

Damn, that design is very similar to what I came up with in my head. I had never seen that design before I clicked on that link.

I think I may either order the auto spring brand or make some myself, either way I don't think I want to go down the road where shock/spring removal is required.

Did you want to see more pictures of my truck, was that your question? If so, I've got a few in my gallery, see the link at the bottom of my signature.

BTW, if you're ever in Charleston or Summerville, look me up and we can drink a beer or six on Rock Pick's beer budget

I bought my Whaler in Beaufort, if I'm ever down there I'll try and look you up and again we can have a few beers on Rock Pick's beer budget . BTW, Rock Pick and I had dinner together with our wifes in Louisville last year just before Halloween, there's a whole thread about it but I'm not sure if Brad deleted it or not.

Later,

~DM~

I didn't see any with the windows tinted and the visors. I would like to see how it looks. Thinking of visors all around to include the moonroof.
