Saw an '05 King Ranch Today....
I was running errands today in my new '05 Lariat and a copper colored King Ranch F-150 SuperCrew pulls up next to me at a stoplight.
Nice looking truck! This is the first one that I've seen in the Va. Beach, VA area. I noticed that it had Michigan tags on it. Are they making these in Dearborn?
Looks like everone that's waiting for their '05 KR to get built will have an ear to ear grin that won't go away when they get the deal done.

As far as I know, all the Super Crews are built in Kansas City. My '05 KR was built in Kansas City and all the Super Crews in the past were built there as well. I think that the new Dearborn facility may start building Super Crews but I'm not certain.

05KR Dark copper
I just picked mine up at the dealer on the 12th. They had just taken delivery of 8 KR's all different flavors. Mine was the only dark copper 4X2 with moon roof. As of today there are only 3 left.
One F-250 Super Duty 4X4 KR in white, One F-150 4X2 KR in white both with moon roof, One Black F-150 4X2 no moon roof but with entertainment system. I expect them to sell before the end of the month. They also had a green and another dark copper without moon roof but with entertainment systems when I picked up mine but they were sold and in prep when I picked up mine. BTW... it was built in Kansas.
They also took delivery of 8 05 Mustangs the at the same time as the KR's. 6 were GT's while 2 were standard. When I got there, all the GT's were gone, I mean prepped and delivered, (this was in a matter of 3 days notification)
Both remaining 05 mustangs were red and looked pretty sharp, but really....who really wants a 6cly 05 Mustang? Watch me get flamed with that one..
The day I picked up my KR the dealership took delivery of a Ford GT, yes the real thing.... No not a Mustang GT. It drew an immediate crowd as it was unloaded from the special enclosed trailer. Everybody that was not cutting a deal was out in the lot checking out the new arrival, mechanics, body guys, admin, the whole crowd was milling about. It really was an awesome sight in person, and a lot smaller than I had expected.
