There's also the issue of licensing fees back to King Ranch for logo use (Ford does not own the KR logo....)

Good luck in your quest......
No need for starting up an obsolete line. Looking for the vinyl (the source if possible) and then to find out if the color is the property of Ford or not. Then it's locating one of the manufacturers who would use the supplied vinyl with their current manufacturing process (their cover with supplied vinyl).

It's a lot more reasonable than my earlier post may have sounded.

RP -

Did you ever find out who made the Arizona Beige material ? I have spoke to a couple of tonneau manufacturers and it seems that if I (we - if othe KR owners would be interested) were to supply the vinyl they would make it just like they do for a special color order (NCNR).

I sure didn't man. I just followed it up to the point where it was manufactured. I know I've still got my contact's information laying around my desk at work somewhere and thus, I could try to give him a 'buzz' to inquire...

They're EXTREMELY RARE. If you find a few of them, be sure to point some of the other users that way. I've had multiple dealers run multiple nationwide parts searches for them and have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, found a new one.

They fly across ebay.com on occasion.

Lo and behold I found one !!!!! Just purchased it. Brand new / unopened. Here is the email that I received:

"Hi Charles,

Thanks for your inquiry. The tonneau covers are obsolete like you said, but I have one of the logo covers left in stock. Here is your cost:

Part# 1L3Z-84501A42-FA
Description Tonneau Cover
Retail $352.46
Cost $299.59 (plus UPS fees)

Hope this helps. Let me know".

As soon as it arrives and is installed = pictures. If I happen to come across another I will let this forum know ASAP.

Can't wait to get it. Thanks to all who helped out - specially RP.

Using this forum and others related to the F150, I searched out the email addresses of as many "leads" as I could find that deal or have dealt with Ford F150 King Ranch accessories and sent them all the same formatted message requesting information on the whereabouts of the logo cover. A few replied with the standard NO AVAILABILITY. But yesterday afternoon I received the email message quoted in my earlier post from Dan Newman at cooperautogroup.com and FORD Parts HQ stating that he had one.

Luck of the draw; feels like being dealt pocket aces in the final hand of Texas Hold'm.

If not for the help found on this forum that lead me to search other areas this find would not have happened.

Heck man, I'm really glad it worked out for you because I think the manufacturing of such a tonneau would be a beast of a project to tackle. Further, I can nearly promise you that you'd have a STRAIGHT uphill battle getting a Ford/KR logo on the tonneau itself because of all the copyright infringements and such.
