RP, your previous post about priorities and their order, provided me with the day's first laugh!

As for me, I am about 50/50 right now on trading my 2001 EB Expey in for the 2005 Mustang when she comes out this fall. Always been a Mustang dude. I've got a King and an Expey now, sort of unnecessary to have to big trucks. I think a King and an '05 'Stang sitting in the drive would be pretty awesome. I absolutely love the new Mustangs.

As for classics, I'd give an appendage up for the Steve McQueen "Bullet" fastback model (1968 I believe) from the movie "Bullet."

Brad.....

I'm sure we can figure something out to get you a 'stang.

(See I'm talking like I own one already !)

Thing is you're going to have to come down to South Texas....
BUT...it will be a good excuse to visit the Saddle Shop won't it !?

Dang! That's SWEET!

Tell me something Red... what makes it a California Special? I mean, is it a trim package? Something limited edition? What's different?

That's a very nice ride!

Lenny,

I'll have to run this by the wifey first (hence, I doubt it'll happen unless you guys are all pitching in to buy it for me...hhehee). I guess I can still dream big huh?

RockPick,

The california special was made for the dealers just in california in 1968 only, and was made at the california mustang plant.

Things that make it different are: solid grill (no horse emblem), lucas or marshall rectangle fog lights in the grill, stripe down both sides with the gt/cs logo on the side scoop, the side scoop, fiberglass trunk lid with molded spoiler, shelby tail lights, and the gas cap between the lights.

Only 4000 were made, so not many are left out there id say.

Mine could stand to be repainted but I think ill drive it for a while first.

Lenticular,
Check you email for my reply.

Bloomquist,
Thanks for the compliment. Right now '68 is also my favorite, although 65-66 hold a special place in my heart. First loves and all that, you know.

Congrats Lenny!! Looks nice. I know you'll love it. And if you are just a car "freak" as I belive you are, it doesn't make any difference the make or model, they're all fun! Enjoy the TX sun with the top down and I hope we get to see some more pics of the new toy. ENJOY !!

Thanks for the nice comments friends.....and once more for the helpful E mails.
It all makes buying a vehicle that will be thousands of miles away from me most of the time...that much easier !

Cheers
