All this talk about technology.

I still haven't figured out how I get the LP's in that little slot....
The slot doesn't seem wide enough.

Any suggestions ?

They're now making an LP format player for the glove box. It's made by RCA and should hit the shelves around Christmas of 1964.

Ask and ye shall receive Wonder if they have it in AZ Beige?

LP Player

EDIT = Ooops! Sorry Lenny it doesn't do standard LPs,

After the 45 -- 33 1/3 -- 78-rpm confusion of 1948, along came the 16 2/3-rpm unit to add to the jumble. Oddity is especially appropriate when one considers that the music this phonograph was to play was on a special 7-inch disc with a standard center hole (not 45-rpm size) and cut 550 grooves to the inch (twice that of a conventional 33 1/3-rpm LP record).
So I guess you'll have to "rip" your LPs down to 7" 16 2/3 format

Gosh....this interweb thingy is a mine of information isn't it ?!

I bet it won't be long before someone invents a way of copying records at home....wouldn't that be great !

Up 'til yet, when my LP's get too scratched to use, I have to do the old hot water in the bath bit.

Y'know, water as hot as you can get it, then submerge the LP
(In my case 78) , in the hot water, place a heavy weight in the middle, and watch a truely unique dish take shape......

But I guess everyone knew that old trick !
