Finally getting to use the thing

I thought about putting the full pallet in the back but those things can top a ton wet. Didn't want to chance it. I probably could've put the other third on there by hand. The wife would have killed me if I broke something on her truck.
In the last two months I've hauled a pallet and a half of sod, two yards of bark chips, and some various other things. Sure is nice having a truck

Wise choice...
To not put the whole pallet in there...
Palletized grass is much heavier than people ever realize until something breaks! When I hauled grass, I used a tandem axle flatbed trailer and even then, if you didn't have the load positioned correctly, you either had a thousand pounds of tongue weight or not enough weight on the ball. That's a lot of compact weight.

Hey, I used mine to haul an old water heater, and an old washer & dryer to the dump a few weeks ago. The only thing I didnt like about that was that it left some rust smudges in the bedliner, but the rain took em out

Sadly enough I didn't have enough to cover my front (STUPID CINCHBUGS!) so I'm gonna get another pallet, wich carries over to the backyard wich I was gonna let go till spring. *sigh* I think I'm gonna break down and hire a lawn care company. 2 years of that would be cheaper than all the work I did and money I spent this year.
One of the more frustrating parts of home ownership I guess. I just feel like I'm piling money up in my front yard and burning it.
*end rant*

SO Im sure that weight made the truck ride like a Caddy!

I grew up around pickups that got USED a lot, so I'm not afraid to get one dirty. I just have to clean it up or I hear about it. I would like to get more use out of it with a camp trailer or something, but we don't have the time/finances right now to get into that venture. Someday though, but this truck may never see more than a load of sod and bark mulch now and then. I'd like to get a 5th wheel trailer anyway. Which more than likely means a superduty crew cab to pull it. Most of those things are topping 8-9 grand in weight fully loaded. The tag alongs are more in the 7 grand area for a 26'.
I've used my Expi for hauling some sod before (2 pallets worth). I bet the guys at the grass place thought I was nuts. It was cool though, you can get about the same amount of weight in one of those as the f-150. The f-150 is easier to work with though.
I don't know why I don't get it delivered really. I just have problems paying the same in delivery as it costs for the sod to begin with. That, and the exercise is good for me, heh.
