Angry What a HORRIBLE day

Just thought I would drop a line to everyone who thought they may have ahd a bad day. Hope this makes someone feel better about their day.

Here goes:

First, my wife wants to take the KR to work. OK (btw only had the truck 2 weeks). She comes home and calmly tells me that someone at work backed into the truck ! When I picked myself up off the floor, I went out to survey the damage. Paint missing on passenger side fender flare and scratches on the front bumper. @#%!!@#. After a couple of hours I was calm again and had just sat down to watch the TV when I heard water running when there should be no water running. I checked all of the faucets and toilets to no avail. I walked downstairs and my basement is flooded with hot water. @#%!!@# again. Isn't life grand.

Hope for a better day tomorrow. Staring at a plumber's crack first thing in the morning sure won't help any.

plc,

Sorry to hear about the truck, at least you know who hit your truck. Mine gets scratches and dings on occasion and no one ever admits to it, what great folks I've got as co-workers.

Also, must be a bummer on the water heater thing, sorry about that too. I always put my water heater outside. I buy a special galvanized and insulated sheet metal shed made for external water heater installations and re-route all the water lines and get that catastrophe outside before anything bad happens.

That's my 2 cents worth. Hope you get everything fixed soon.

Later,

~DM~

Sorry to hear about your bad day plcengr. Can't say as I've had a bad day in awhile now, but I do know the feeling of both coming home to find your hotwater tank done in and waking up in the morning to find your truck smashed during the night. Thankfully I've not had both happen in the same day though.

Keep the chin up plcenger, it could have been worse, they could have caved in the whole side and drove off.

We've been wanting to get the Missus a new car but she decided to wait because her 94 Crown Vic is getting the crap beat out of it in her parking lot. She refuses to drive my KR which I'm secretly happy about, she doesn't want to put the first scratch on it.

Have a beer and chill out, better times are ahead

They DID drive off, but never fear...I am currently on stakeout at my wife's workplace.

Sorry to hear about your KR and basement.
It makes me so angry when jerks do damage then run like the yellow cowards that they are.

hope the stakeout works. I was fortunate, even at 2am (the driver was drunk, how else could you smash into a parked truck hard enough to push it into the car next to it) there was actually a witness. So at least I woke up to a phone message from the police rather than coming out to find the damage myself unwarned.
