A Cryin Shame
I moved every single piece of rocks for my garden rockwall and pond with my KR (I dunno how many tons). Plus about 3 full loads of compost and one load of topsoil and compost mix. but my favorite use of the bed is when my fiancee and I go a local drive in, back up to the screen and huggle in the bed and watch the movie. Bedrug is awful comfy in those times. ^_-

I knew I would get a good discussion going with this one.
It doesn't really matter to me what a guy does with his truck since he's the one making the payments. With the economy like it is he may have lost his job in Telecom and this is the way to put food on the table for the kids until something better comes along.
confused:
It's a good release to poke a little fun at ourselves sometimes regarding our passion for our King Ranch trucks. we may look like fanatics to some but we do it mostly tongue in cheek and in jest.
By the way, George W. is my hero

Nothing lasts forever, enjoy things while you can because they will eventually be taken away from us one way or the other. Each to his own, but my philosophy is to use things but don't abuse them and as long as you take reasonable care and do routine maintenance then usually well made things last almost a lifetime. Again, each to his own.
Enjoy what you can while you can, we never know what's in store for us just around the corner...

Nice boat. I'll try to post pics of mine tomorrow. It matches the truck.
Daveman- You always have the biggest projects going. Lowes stock must double when your to see that truck pulls in the lot. In answer to your question, I'm enjoying the summer with my 4 month old baby boy. We've taken him camping and fishing, and he seems to get a kick out of it. Hope your project goes well.

Chaos,
Nice recreational H2O apparatus, I'm envious...BTW, you're tires on the boat trailer sure look close to the fenders or maybe my perception is off due to the distance.
Bronco,
Hope your little one enjoys all your efforts to make a fun experience on your outings. As for my projects, they are usually bigger than most because I try to do all the work without hiring contractors. However, I usually end up spending the same or more buying tools and books but it's like my hobby so I don't mind. By doing it all myself, I know exactly what's under my concrete foundation, floor and what's behind my walls. Quality is very important to me since I know how little people care about it, especially when it belongs to someone else and their not watching. Have a great summer...

Thanks for the kudos on my boat. My wife and I are burnt to a crisp from using it so much this weekend. This is my first boat and the first weekend with it, so we're pretty pumped. Looks good behind the KR too
Tows like there's nothing there (sort of) - what a great truck for towing. With my previous vehicle (Saab 9-3) if you told me I would have a 2" ball I'd be off to the doctors! It's nice to have a truck again.
Daveman:
Thanks for the heads up with the wheels. I went out to check it just now and it seems OK. This is a re-conditioned 1978 boat (mint!) and it has rounded fenders on the wheels, like the old utility trailer my Dad had in the seventies. She's a low-rider allright, but the photo makes it look worse.
