Good call, Rock pick.....

I think you're the first non-tv person to get my login name.

Yeah, I work for TWC, but not on TV anymore. Used to work in local TV, now I'm on the radio, which is more fun, anyway!

Thanks for the input. I've been hemming and hawing about the 4x2 vs. 4x4 for a while....trying to justify the price.

The really scary thing about it is that all of them are absolutely true. I never dreamed I'd walk into wallyworld and buy fingernail polish remover. The cashier gave me some weird looks. LOL!!!

you know, nail polish remover is just acetone with some oils in it to condition the nails, you could have felt much more macho by going to home depot and buying it and saved a few buck in the meantime. i now just fill my wife's bottle from the garage which works out quite well.

Damn. I impress myself sometimes. I knew TWC was based in Atlanta and put two and two together...

You need to see if you can get me one of those sweet LL Bean GoreTex jackets!! LOL!

I don't think you can consider me totally oblivious to your username though... like I said, I started off as a Meteorology major and transferred over to Geology / Hydrology. I did an internship with NWS in Paducah, KY and even a week internship in an Evansville, Indiana tv-news station.

NWS was what soured me on getting into the business. Just too much repetative work with very little to get excited about unless you were in SWM. NWS was where I saw myself when I left high school... now, here I sit in an environmental consulting office as a geologist... lol. Strange how plans change.

Get me a jacket and I'll owe you a wax job on that new truck you're getting! LOL!

RP -- you and me both!

Those jackets are impossible to come by, and I've even got an aunt that works for LL Bean, too! I've been here about 6 months, so I'm pretty low in the pecking order. But I'm trying to get one myself. I'll see what I can do.

I actually came from the other side. I was a journalism major and a news reporter for 5 years, and hated that side of the business. So I got my met degree, and went into weather. I would never want to work for the NWS, either. It does get repetitive, and SWM is the fun stuff, but in bradcasting, it's always interesting, and it's fun to basically talk for a living. The business is awful, although TWC treats us very well.

Yeah, I heard it through the grapevine that if you were in weather, TWC was where you wanted to be. Sounds like you're one of the 'chosen few'.

I'm telling you man. I can definately get you a great looking wax job for one of those coats!! Maybe even two! Go corner Paul Emmick or Christine Abernathy and tell them you know the coats exist and to point you in the right direction! Threaten to tear up the green screen if they don't give in!!

ROFL!

Well....

I'd call it more "right place, right time."

And they're blue screens, not green.....

after reading the care tips here, a wax would be worth a jacket!

KR Package Cost

I feel that this is the best package Ford has come out with, however, I bought my KR used with 20k on it, a STEAL at $24k. I guess its all a matter of personal preference and economics. I will say though, I get a lot of great comments on the truck and CHICKS DIG IT!!!!!

My new BABY

I bought my KR approx 1.5 months ago at a GMC dealer, it was parked on the lot. I traded in my 94 2 door Explorer Sport that has 150k on it and bought what my wife named "Mr Green Jeans" . The previous owner kept it garaged for its young life and loved it every day. Ive become good friends with him even though he bought a GMC quad-steer!!

Mr Green Jeans is a 2002 KR Screw 5.4 Obviously Green!! Everything is stock except for new black nerfs that I installed, new Good Years, its a beaut!!!!!

The man is right! I never got this kind of attention on any of the other vehicles I've owned: Hotrods, Porche, BMW, Lariat, Lightning and more.... Women go all oogie over the KR interior.

Reason enough to buy one!
