It would be cool, but it sounds fishy. Very fishy.

Looks like they're the real deal...

As you can see, they are the 2001 covers (saddle bag on back: 02 didn't have the flap). He said that the ones he had were just for the front buckets but he could probably get the rear buckets OR bench if anyone wanted them.

This begs the question: WHERE IS HE GETTING THESE!?! Are they seconds? They're in a FORD bag and look new (even though there appear to be some spots on the covers (almost looks like bird poo).

What's your take? Anyone going after them? I'd like a back up but, I can't part with the $ now after signing the paperwork on the new house... I'm going to have to buy a lawn mower for the first time in my life soon... renting was okay in that aspect but, believe it or not, I look forward to cutting my OWN grass!

Yeah, I'm kind of like you KRCOWBOY... I'd like to have a backup but, I hate to just toss the $ at them... I mean, we all take good care of our leather because we're passionate about it but, one of these days, the driver's seat is going to be worn to the point that I'd like to have another one on there and I won't be able to get it probably....

*shrugs*

Damned if you do... damned if you don't.

I've been emailing back and forth with this guy... he claims to be able to secure individual seats for around $300/per. This would be just the covers...

He must have a resource...

First off, the saddle bags were on 2001 and 2002, only 2003 were they becoming idiots. I think the "bags" should have continued but Ford claims too many issues.

Second, I emailed him too, he responded and he does work for a local Ford dealer here. I called and verified. He said he was buying at his discounted rate. I wanted two front seat covers as well as I know even the little use I put on the truck, they will show some sign (even minute) of wear. I am still debating! I want to keep the truck for a long time, but I know that later on, I might want the new style of KR. Atleast that is what the better half says to me when I say I won't buy another toy for a long time.

I thought it was 300.00 per pair. I guess it would be each. Oh my, decisions decisions!!!!!!

I got the same comments yesterday. I guess you took it one step farther and confirmed that he was legit... good idea.

I think I'll give this guy a try next time I need a part but, I think I'm going to have to hold off on the covers because of the upcoming house... *shrugs*
