Talking

You know what would be really cool though? Taking one of these seats, whole thing not just the covers obviously, and making it into my office chair! I was at a seat manufacturer in TN one time on a sales call and saw a couple of the guys there had taken a prototype of one of their seats, (they make seats for semi's), and made them into their office chair with the base from another one. Man, that would be cool to have a KR chair in my office. I'm gonna have to seriously think about this one!

Oh yeah, heat too! Me thinks we are on to something here. Now, I have to figure a way to put side armrests on it. Oh boy, we have the engineering wheels turning in my head now. Might have to use my AutoCAD to draw this thing up and make one. Maybe we could sell these things. Cool. Work? Ahhhhh. I'm too busy on government jobs today. he he.

I was thinking about the SD KR seats as well. Wonder how much one of them costs? Well I guess I won't be getting much more done this afternoon here at work. May as well go home now and figure this little thing out. (I wish, the boss would have my butt). I will ponder on this for a bit though and see what I can come up with. Will keep ya'll posted.

LOL......my boss doesn't work in this office. He works out in the TN office.....so I really have no boss to monitor me

I have friends at Ford and could get the employee rate for one of those seats too......hmmm.....they still probably cost $1000 or more.

We are suppliers to Ford, so I could possibly work something out thru some of those channels. I will check that out also. You're probably right tho, still more than likely an easy G-note. Ahhhh, it's only money right? After all, we drive KR's! We are "the" in crowd.

Reserve is now met at $250.00 on these covers if anyone wants to take a chance !!

Nearly suggested some of us club together and buy them as insurance for when one of us has a disaster.
The person who finally needs them could pay the rest of us off, at the bid price ??

FYI, per an email that I've recieved from him...

Total cost for a seat is $300 thus, DO NOT BID ABOVE THAT PRICE...

He said he wouldn't mind if I gave his email address out if anyone wanted it for parts/pieces. Email me if you need/want it.

This idiot ended the auction early! After a bid was placed and the reserve was met on two, as he said in auction "set of front seat covers". He ended the damn thing early and screwed me out of the seat covers. I think to many people or atleast us emailing him made him think twice as to what he could get for those covers!!! I am going to ask him what he will charge for the 03 SuperDuty KR grab handles. They have KR leather on them and are the same style as mine, just don't know if they are the same size and fittment.

On the grab handles...

I've 'heard' that the rear ones are an exact match however, the front handles are slightly different... let us know how it goes.

The rear ones are identical, and the fronts are different than both the old and new style handles. I am however, going to try to retrofit a set on my truck. They are only $48 each after all, so I won't be out too much money with this mod. I was very surprised at the rear ones. They look great.

Ahh, so Shelby was holding out on us... hahahaha... I don't blame you. That's a great deal on a set of covers! I wonder if he'd sell another set for $300... It would be really nice to have a backup...
