KR shirt? Anyone interested?

OK, I went back and looked at what RockPick tried to start. Do you KR owners want to somehow get some shirts made? Was the ball just dropped? It looked like everyone wanted to conversate on other things. For those of you who said you do do a certain job, such as ask questions about copyright, how much would it cost etc. please post on here. I know I would like a nice Polo shirt with KR stuff on it. I did buy a shirt off of ebay and have no idea where it came from, but it has a pic of the KR fender badge only on the front upper right. "rolling W" King Ranch, then est. 1853 then F-150. On the back it has a big picture of the Charcoal Blue KR in front of the desert mountain cactus scene and below that says King Ranch F-150 and the Built Ford Tough symbal. Did you all see the pic that Rock PicK posted on his thread on the shirt? Great one!!

Well, here's mine:

1. Style of shirt (Polo)
2. Color of shirt (White with Arizona Beige trim, )
3. KR/F150 Logo or Other (KR/F150)
4. If we all truely like that big furry dinosaur Barney (who? I don't have kids)
5. How much we're willing to pay for such a shirt. ($45.00 each for 1 or 2)
6. Baby bop: Male or Female? (who? I don't have kids)
7. How big do we want the logo/pic? (4"x2" so logo doesn't overpower the shirt)
8. Color of Logo (same as trim and collar, Arizona beige, only seems proper?)

Now, has anyone heard any more on this?
.... it's the 150th Anniversay of King Ranch next year (1853-2003) and I believe it's Ford's 100th.... when I had spoken to Ford marketing some time ago, they mentioned they may indeed do some type of joint event in 2003.....

Ahh, KR Shirts Revisited

Damon,

I'm in we can get it together. As you can see from the past thread, we really didn't get very far. Lots of commitment, little follow-up...

Probably be much easier to go with a solid shirt and make the logo AZ. By going this route, I think that whoever makes this shirt would be able to utilize our own 'personal preference' in color of the shirt itself with the AZ beige being the color that ties them all together. Also, with only one color embroidery, we could avoid extra 'set-up' fees that most places charge.

I'm willing to help out in any way/shape/form that I can however; it will be an uphill battle.

RP

PS: That was ViperGrendel that posted that pic... I didn't post any pics in the thread.

Well, let's see how many are actually interested and if Skagel can get her mom to do some shirts with a logo on them. If no-one else is interested, Skagel, can I send your mom a shirt and a digital pic to put on a shirt? And pay her for it. I didn't know sewing machines were that up to date.

Again, those of you who said you could help. Let us know and let's see if this can be pulled together.

And, I only mentioned a white polo as that is the easiest to do things with, NOT cause I own one!!

Good to know they did the "right" color on the "T" Damon

I'm in (except for the Barney crap, are you sure you don't have kids? Those of us who do know Barney well but if you don't and you are familiar with Baby Bop then sumptins' wrong ).

Depends on the cost etc...

I'm interested too, Damon. Keep me posted.

We should get the little women and get together one of these weekends, I'd like to see the mods you have on your KR.

Can your shirt be reproduced. Not sure of the trademark implecations. Just a question.
I just wanted to bring this back over to the shirt thread to try to stimulate a few more responses to this as it appears it's dwindling out already.

LINY, I know just a little bit about screen printing and I'm certainly NO expert but, to answer your question... I think it could be reproduced but, and it's a big but, they would have to reproduce the screen plates to make the shirt.

You see, the way that screen printing works is by having a 'stincil' of sorts and you lay down each color individually to make the shirt 'come to life'. In Damon's case, it appears that it's even a more complicated process than that; ie, probably computer driven thus, I'm doubting that it could be done very easily. I, too, wish it could be done though. I'd be interested in one myself. Heck, I would've gone after the one that he won but it was a friggin' "LARGE" and that wouldn't fit over my beer gut.

So, back to the thread....

Is anyone ***REALLY*** interested in doing this?!? I am.

I am still interested in a shirt of some kind. I have no knowledge or connections concerning making this happen. Any suggestions?

There were some ideas started in that older thread a few moonths back. Skagel said her mom might be able to use a sewing machine that was computer driven? And I really just want a nice polo that someone will put a King Ranch name or the W on it. I totally forgot that a guy I know in El Paso (where I once dwelled) owns a screen printing/decal shop and he made a bunch of caps and shirts and jackets for my dad to give out to his employees. If I can find his damn number I will call him. That is probably the best I can do. I will try to call him on Monday.

I talked with Skagel at length about her mom being able to do them last time this topic came up. Unless something has changed, she's not willing to do them because of potential copyright infringements.
