Yeah, I've had the 'purple' comment once prior and, ironically, it was from a Charcoal Blue owner...

But, to discredit this KR owner, I should say, for one, they owned a Charcoal KR (this says alot ) and, for two, they called the Estate Green "Neon Green".

Some people just don't deserve to have a KR...

I'd say maroon, but not purple. The charcoal blue actually looks more purple in the right sunlight. The green I would call something I can't say on this board, but it also resembles split pea soup.

That's funny. I have the Charcoal Blue and my wife swears sometimes it looks purple. In fact for the first month I had the truck the weather was not great, cloudy, etc. and she kept saying I bought a purple truck. She wanted the chestnut. Oh well!

Under certain light conditions, I have always seen a hint of purple in mine.

Ditto. Depending on the angle, it almost looks like one of those chameleon colors. I have seen the same thing in my charcoal blue.

I think it's actually a tiny bit of blueish tint in the clearcoat....probably due to whatever is in it to help filter out UV rays and protect against color fade.
