so does anyone know how this compares to the fram version. this one looks like it sticks down a little further than the fram, at least in the pics.

no, saw it on a commercial where the car flips over and he attatches a hose to the bottom and saw it at autozone also. basically it replaces your drain plug with a valve that doesn't open until you hook up the enclosed hose and also includes a brass dust cover w/ o-ring. looks pretty well made and have never hear a bad thing about them. the fumoto valve looks bigger and like it could be ripped off rather easy when off roading but having never seen one in person i'm not positive on this one.

found it www.fram.com, products, accesories, fram sure-drain. looks pretty straight forward to me. no fuss, no muss unless you loose the hose and then worst case you would just unscrew it for an oil change.
