Totalled King Ranch - Brace Yourself

I snagged this link to these photos out of a thread on the SuperCrew forum.

The picture is of MarcScrew's former 2002 King Ranch SuperCrew. I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves...

Marc, it's truely a miracle that you're still with us. Someone was watching out for you that day...

Again, we're glad you're alright Marc.

Hats off to our fallen Chestnut brother...

Rock,

I'm sorry to hear that Marc was involved in such a bad accident, but I'm real glad he's okay, whew...

However, the truck is not a King Ranch, look close and you'll agree...Either way, it was a very bad accident and I'm just thankful that no one was seriously injured that we know of...

Good question about the engine jw...where the hell is the damn thing??? Probably in the same location as the front right wheel, under the truck...

Looks like the truck folded like it was supposed to so the driver was protected. Man I hate to see such a nice truck crunched up like that! I'm glad he's OK.

Funny, I just refreshed my screen and Marc's wreck was on the front page. He has made the front page F150 news.
Once again, glad he's ok

Honest mistake on the KR there Rock, I think in 01 they made a "burgandy" S-crew. In 02 it wasn't an option. They probably realized they looked to close. Either way I'm glad he's ok, and nice to see the S-Crew can take a beating. Here's hoping that noone else has to prove that to us.

Daveman,
It is good to see that you are finally learning the fine art of picking out a KR from a croud.

I was just going on what his description said on both FTW and f150online... they both say that it 'WAS' a KR. I did noticed that the bed rails were black but, on the flip side, the valence and such are Az Beige... Also, upon close inspection, you can see the rear seat... which appears to be a captain's chair.

Heck, I don't know... none-the-less... truely a miracle that the man is still alive.

You can see that the seats are the regular Lariat leather and also the arizona beige two tone paint does not go high enough on his truck. You will notice that on the real KR the beige goes up higher, not to mention the lack of the KR pin stripe and what looks like the Lariat pin stripe above the door handles. He obviously modded it some to look like a KR, but it is not. He didn't have the KR wheels either.

Just pointing out some more of the discrepancies.

Not that I care that some people don't recognize it, I just thought I would put in my $.02 since we were on the topic.

Rock,

No harm man, you're not going anywhere...besides, the fact that the guys truck was or wasn't a KR was not the focus of this thread, it was the fact that the driver and passengers, if any, were okay...I just pointed out some facts to correct an oversight...

You are forgiven, from me at least...

I guess since the front of that truck looks strikingly similar to an iron bolder, your subconscious was directing most of your attention on the rocky faces and crumpled surfaces due to your Geologist (hence Rock Pick) profession and the obvious details of a KR eluded you, haha

Later man,
