Hello! Looking to purchase my first F-150, and I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up, but I wanted to get a head start in getting familiar with some other owners too. The one I'm looking at is a 96 single cab with the 4.9. It looks like it's been kept in pretty good shape, but I don't get the chance to see it in person until later this week. Let's hope it all goes well!

Also, I'm accepting any mechanic recommendations for the Dallas area for a prepurchase inspection.

 

The 4.9 engine is as reliable as they get. It should serve you well.

 

How many miles? Auto or manual? 2wd/4wd?
