New guy with a 1998 F150 XLT 4.6 V8

Hi all, I'm the FNG right now. I've come here to find out a little more about my new truck (to me) I got this truck and I absolutely love it. This is the first truck that I've ever owned. It was a one time owner and the guy bought it directly from the Ford Company (as in his father worked for Ford) yes I live in Louisville, KY!

I've come to see first to see if I can find some nerf bars for my truck also to read up and see what everyone else is doing to their truck. I'm trying to find a place where I can get my truck repainted. I'm not looking for anything to fancy but like to hear what everyone is paying for paint jobs these days.

It's good to find these forums and I hope I can add to the community!

I am a new guy too. I have had my 99 since 99 and cannot imagine life without it. I have spent a good part of my life in this truck and I am even writing a book called 200k in an F-150. It reminds me of my old dog (he is 6) and I cannot imagine life without him. I have never put so many mile on a vehicle before and it amazes me. The seats are torn up and I refuse to put seat covers on them. I am just going to buy new seat when I see them.

As for paint jobs they can go for $200-$50,000 (or more). Getting something that looks new stock is somewhere in the high middle.
